A special assembly and hawan were organized at DAV Nandraj Modern School on the auspicious occasion of Swami Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti. The programme was conducted with great devotion and enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great reformer and founder of the Arya Samaj.
The assembly began with Vedic chanting, creating a spiritual and serene atmosphere in the school premises. The hawan was attended by the students of Standard VI, who actively participated in offering ahutis and reciting mantras with sincerity and discipline.
Head Boy Anuj Kumar delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the life, teachings, and contributions of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. He emphasized the importance of truth, education, social reform, and the message of “Back to the Vedas,” which continues to guide society even today.
The Secretary of the School Managing Committee, Mr. Ashok Bhatia, also graced the occasion with his presence. His participation added significance to the event and motivated the students to follow the noble ideals of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
The programme concluded with a pledge to uphold moral values and work towards self-improvement, following the path shown by the great saint and reformer.

DAV Nandraj Modern School had the honour of hosting the Wiz International Spell Bee, a vibrant and intellectually stimulating event that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various levels.
The programme featured a series of next-level competitions designed to nurture creativity, coordination, and language skills among students.
The event included Little Hands (National Level), a specially curated activity for pre-primary students aimed at enhancing fine motor skills and encouraging creativity in a joyful learning environment.
Doodle Derby (National Level) provided a platform for young artists to express their imagination and artistic flair, while the Handwriting Competition (National Level) assessed students’ penmanship, precision, and presentation skills.
The highlight of the programme was the Spell Bee Competition (State Level), where students from different grades showcased their linguistic proficiency, vocabulary, and spelling accuracy with great confidence.
All the activities were smoothly conducted on the school premises by the regional coordinators of Wiz Kid, whose efficient guidance ensured seamless ex*****on and high student engagement.
Students of DAV Nandraj Modern School participated in a practical session of Jal Neti as part of their health and wellness activities. The session was conducted under the able guidance of the school’s yoga teacher, Ms. Babita Kumari.
During the session, students were made aware of the importance of Jal Neti in maintaining nasal hygiene and improving respiratory health.
Ms. Babita Kumari demonstrated the correct method and precautions to be followed while practicing Jal Neti, ensuring the safety and understanding of all students.
The students actively took part in the practice with discipline and enthusiasm. The session helped them understand the significance of yogic cleansing techniques in leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The programme concluded with a brief interaction, encouraging students to adopt yoga as a regular practice for physical and mental well-being.

DAV Nandraj Modern School paid a heartfelt tribute to Mahatma N. D. Grover on his death anniversary with great reverence and solemnity. On this occasion, a special hawan was conducted in the school premises to remember his invaluable contribution and noble ideals.
Students of Standards VII and VIII actively participated in the hawan and prayer ceremony, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
A speech highlighting the inspiring life and principles of Mahatma N. D. Grover was delivered by Trisha Gupta of Standard VIII, who beautifully explained his dedication to education, truth, and service to society.
Mrs. Sudeepta Chatterjee also addressed the students and enlightened them about the life, thoughts, and teachings of Mahatma N. D. Grover, motivating students to follow the path of righteousness and selfless service.

Mahatma N. D. Grover was a noble soul devoted to truth, simplicity, and service to humanity. His values of integrity and selfless living continue to inspire us. Though he is no longer with us, his ideals live on in our hearts and actions.

DAV Nandraj Modern School proudly celebrates the commendable performance of our students in the Open Jharkhand State Yoga Championship 2026, which was held on 31st January and 1st February 2026 at The Union Club & Library.
The championship was organised by the Sports Yoga Association of Jharkhand and witnessed participation from talented yoga practitioners across the state.
A total of four students from our school participated in this prestigious event and brought laurels to the institution through their dedication and disciplined practice.
Gaurav Pathak secured an impressive 3rd position, showcasing excellent skill and consistency.
Nitesh Kumar Mahto achieved the 10th position, reflecting his hard work and commitment.
Rahul Kumar was awarded a Certificate of Participation for his enthusiastic involvement.
Ansh Raj also received a Certificate of Participation, appreciating his sincere effort and performance.
In addition to the students’ achievements, our Yoga Teacher Ms. Babita Kumari was honoured with a trophy in recognition of their outstanding guidance, dedication, and contribution to promoting yoga excellence among students.
The achievement of our students and teacher is a matter of great pride for the entire school community. It highlights the importance of yoga in fostering physical fitness, mental discipline, and overall well-being. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and wish them continued success in future competitions.

DAV Nandraj Modern School marked India's 77th Republic Day with vibrant enthusiasm and deep patriotic spirit.
Esteemed guests, including chief guest Mr. Sanjay Poddar, Member of AGPS Ranchi, Guest of Honor Mrs. Sangeeta Poddar, and Mr. Ashok Bhatia, Secretary of the School Managing Committee, inspired everyone with their presence.
The festivities kicked off as Mr. Sanjay Poddar unfurled the national flag, followed by a stirring rendition of the national anthem. Students from all four houses marched proudly in crisp uniforms, earning high praise from the chief guest for their disciplined salute.
The school choir enchanted the audience with a heartfelt patriotic song honoring the tricolor and martyrs.
Mr. Sanjay Poddar, in his speech, stressed women empowerment, unity, and fraternity, while underscoring Arya Samaj's transformative role in society.
Mrs. Sangeeta Poddar commended the students' stellar performances and urged them to strive diligently toward their dreams.
Mayank Kumar's poignant speech called on the youth to drive national progress.
The dance troupe captivated with a patriotic performance celebrating unity, patriotism, and freedom fighters' sacrifices.
The yoga team demonstrated impressive flexibility, balance, and focus amid soul-stirring patriotic tunes, blending serenity with zeal.
In line with the school's commitment to women empowerment, the Managing Committee presented cash prizes to Harsh*ta Kumari and Shanvi Saurabh for their exceptional achievements.
Principal Mrs. Jhumpa Singh wrapped up the event, inspiring students to embrace citizenship responsibilities, fuel national growth, and uphold constitutional ideals of justice, equality, and liberty.
The celebration proved a resounding triumph, igniting national pride across students, teachers, and staff.
