Azadi – Legacy of Sacrifice and Hope for the Future
The spirit of freedom filled the air at St. Xavier’s School, Rampura Phul, as the school celebrated India’s Independence Day with great pride, enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The theme, “Azadi – Legacy of Sacrifice and Hope for the Future,” beautifully captured the essence of the occasion. Through inspiring patriotic songs, dances and cultural presentations, the students paid heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who devoted their lives to the freedom of our nation. The school manager, Rev Father Andre Fernandes, along with the school Principal, Rev Father Jerry Paul Lobo and coordinators Mrs. Prem Lata and Ms. Anju Bala, appreciated the students for their remarkable performances and reminded that the Independence Day celebration at St. Xavier’s School was not just a commemoration of the past; it was a promise for the future. He also reminded students to remember the sacrifices of yesterday, value the freedom of today and build a brighter India for tomorrow.

St. Xavier’s Kindergarten, Rampura Phul, celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour under the inspiring theme “Azadi – Legacy of Sacrifice, Hope for the Future.” The celebration beautifully blended patriotism, creativity, discipline and joyful learning, helping young learners understand the value of freedom and their responsibility towards the nation.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome and introduction to the theme, followed by the presentation of handmade bouquets to Rev. Fr. Jerry Paul Lobo, Principal, and Rev. Fr. Andre Fernandes, Manager. A special Badge Pinning Ceremony was held for the Principal, Manager and Coordinators Mrs. Premlata and Miss Anju Bala, followed by the presentation of tricolour caps symbolising patriotism and unity.

The young Xaverites showcased discipline through an impressive PT Display, followed by the LKG dance “Vande Mataram – A Salute to Mother India.” The Freedom Fighters’ Fashion Show featured tiny tots portraying inspiring personalities including Rani Lakshmibai, Mahatma Gandhi, Mangal Pandey and Bharat Mata.

The UKG students presented “Maa Se Hai Mitti – Our Bond with the Motherland,” portraying the emotional bond with the motherland. This was followed by “Happy Children in Free India,” a lively dance depicting the joy and hopes of children in an independent India. A creatively handmade Map of India added a special patriotic touch.

Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Jerry Paul Lobo highlighted the importance of Independence Day and the sacrifices of freedom fighters. He encouraged children to become responsible, compassionate and patriotic citizens and appreciated the sincere efforts of students and teachers. Rev. Fr. Andre Fernandes also appreciated their dedication and creativity.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride, patriotism and unity.

The spirit of patriotism and freedom filled the air at St. Xavier’s Kindergarten, Rampura Phul during the “Flags and Freedom” Nursery Races held on 12th August 2026. All the Nursery students participated with great enthusiasm and excitement, turning the event into a joyful celebration of our Independence Day.

To add a patriotic touch, tricolour ribbons were tied around the children’s hands, while the dedicated teachers lovingly prepared beautiful tricolour caps for the little participants. Wearing their colourful tricolour caps, holding the National Flag proudly in their hands, and waving the flags with joy, the children enthusiastically took part in the Race of Flags and Freedom.

The students warmly welcomed Rev. Father Principal Jerry Paul Lobo, who presented the National Flag and encouraged the young participants. Adding to the joy of the occasion, Father Principal, the Kindergarten Coordinator and the teachers also participated alongside the children, making the event even more memorable and special.

The entire celebration was filled with cheers, smiles, patriotic spirit and happy moments, with every precious moment beautifully captured. The enthusiastic participation of the children and the sincere efforts of the teachers made the event a wonderful and meaningful experience.

At the conclusion, Rev. Father Principal Jerry Paul Lobo addressed the gathering, shared a meaningful message on Independence Day and extended his warm wishes for a Happy Independence Day to everyone. LKG and UKG- A Splash of Patriotism

The spirit of patriotism came alive at St. Xavier’s Kindergarten, Rampura Phul through two creative and engaging activities—UKG Colouring Competition held on 7th August 2026 and LKG Class Activity “A Splash of Patriotism” held on 11th August 2026.

The UKG students participated enthusiastically in the colouring competition and beautifully drew and coloured the National Flag of India, showcasing their creativity, imagination and love for the nation. Their colourful and thoughtful artwork reflected their growing artistic skills and patriotic spirit.

The LKG students, with equal excitement, decorated the given outline of the National Flag using different art materials and techniques such as tear-and-paste, flower cut-outs, ladyfinger printing and foam blocks. They creatively used the tricolour—Saffron, White and Green to make their flags vibrant, attractive and unique. The activity not only encouraged creativity but also helped the little learners develop their fine-motor skills and understand the significance of our National Flag.

Every moment of these activities was filled with joy, enthusiasm, creativity and patriotic fervour, and each special moment was beautifully captured. The sincere efforts and guidance of the teachers played an important role in making the activities successful and meaningful. The students thoroughly enjoyed participating and proudly displayed their creative work.

We are proud to share the remarkable achievement of Mr. Sahil, a valued faculty member of our school, who successfully completed the PRCN Course at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee, Maharashtra and was commissioned as an NCC Associate Officer.

Adding to this achievement, Mr. Sahil was honoured with the prestigious award of “Best in Physical” during his training at OTA, recognising his exceptional physical fitness, discipline, endurance and dedication.

To celebrate the spirit of Independence Day, the Nursery and UKG students enthusiastically participated in creative class activities designed to instill love and respect for the nation.

For the Nursery students, a worksheet with the outline of the National Flag was provided. Using sponge brushes and water colours, the children dipped the sponge brushes in saffron and green paint and created beautiful impressions on the flag. The Green Board was attractively decorated with the colours of freedom, creating a joyful and patriotic learning environment.

For the UKG students, the activity "Tiny Dots, Mighty India" was conducted. A worksheet with the outline of the Map of India was provided. Using earbuds and colours, the children dipped the earbuds into paint and created colourful dot impressions on the map, enhancing their creativity while learning about the nation.

All the students participated with great enthusiasm and excitement. Every child was photographed, capturing these memorable moments of learning and celebration. Through these activities, the little learners expressed their creativity and developed a sense of patriotism, love, and respect for the country.

The activities were conducted successfully under the guidance of the school management. The school management appreciated the sincere efforts of both the teachers and the students in making the celebration meaningful and memorable.

The Fr. Tiburcio Ferrão Memorial Inter-School Quiz Championship – 2026: The Homage Edition was successfully organised at St. Xavier’s School, Rampura Phul, as a tribute to the inspiring life and legacy of Rev. Fr. Tiburcio Ferrão, whose dedication to education and service continues to inspire generations.

The programme began with a grand ceremonial reception, followed by the Lamp-Lighting Ceremony and a warm welcome address by Rev. Fr. Andre Fernandes, Manager, who emphasised the importance of value-based education. The event was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Eulalio Julio Fernandes, Provincial Superior of Delhi Province, along with other esteemed dignitaries, priests, coordinators, and invited guests.

The programme featured vibrant cultural performances, including an Invocation Dance, Musical Presentation, Yoga Display, English Dance, and Bhangra, adding colour and enthusiasm to the occasion.

Eight schools from the Delhi Province participated in the championship. The quiz, conducted by the renowned Quiz Master Mr. Kamal Bagga, challenged students’ knowledge, analytical skills, teamwork, and confidence in a spirit of healthy competition.

In the prize distribution ceremony, St. Xavier’s School, Bathinda emerged as the Champion, while St. Francis Xavier’s School, Hisar secured the First Runner-up position and St. Xavier’s School, Uklana claimed the Second Runner-up Trophy. All participating teams received certificates and mementoes for their enthusiastic participation.

The Colouring Competition for Nursery and UKG was held on 28th July 2026, providing young learners with an exciting opportunity to express their creativity and artistic skills through colours.

The Nursery students were given an outline picture of their favourite summer fruit, Mango, to colour. With great enthusiasm and cheerful energy, they carefully filled the picture using bright and attractive colours while trying to remain within the given outlines. Their happy faces reflected a sense of achievement as they proudly admired their colourful creations.

The UKG students participated in an open-topic colouring activity, where they were given the outline of a flower and encouraged to colour it using colours of their own choice. The children displayed remarkable imagination by experimenting with different colour combinations, making each artwork unique and vibrant. Their creativity and neatness made the competition both exciting and closely contested.

The activity strengthened the children's colouring skills, hand-eye coordination, fine motor development, concentration, creativity, and confidence. Every participant showcased sincere effort and enthusiasm, making the competition a delightful celebration of young talent.

Balloon Colouring Competition – LKG

The LKG Balloon Colouring Competition, held on 27th July 2026, provided every child with a wonderful opportunity to showcase their colouring skills and creativity. An outline picture of a balloon was given to each student, and they enthusiastically coloured it using colours of their own choice.

The classroom came alive with vibrant shades as children filled their balloons with yellow, blue, orange, red, and even multicoloured combinations. Each colourful creation reflected the child's imagination and personal choice, making every artwork unique and special.

The activity helped enhance the children's colour recognition, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, concentration, and creativity while encouraging them to express themselves through colours. Every student participated with great enthusiasm, carefully colouring within the outlines and taking pride in their beautiful work.
