Rehabilitation Centre Visit
Date: 17/3/26
Place: Aarambh nasha Mukti centre
We visited a rehabilitation centre to understand the management of addiction and mental health disorders. The centre provides facilities like detoxification, counseling, yoga, and inpatient care.
Patients are treated through detox therapy, individual and group counseling, and behavioral therapy. The environment was clean, supportive, and patient-friendly.
From an Ayurvedic view, addiction can be related to Madatyaya and Vishaja Vyadhi as described in Agadtantra.
It involves the imbalance of Doshas and accumulation of toxins (Ama).
Treatment principles include Shodhana, Shamana, and Satvavajaya Chikitsa along with yoga and meditation.
Conclusion:
The visit was informative and helped us understand modern approaches to rehabilitation.

Department of Agadtantra of Global institute of ayurved organised visit

Department : Casualty and Trauma Centre
Date: 12/3/26
2nd BAMS students visited the Casualty and Trauma Centre of AIIMS Rajkot to understand the working of the emergency department. During the visit, we observed how doctors and medical staff manage emergency cases such as accidents, trauma, poisoning, and other critical conditions.
We also learned about the triage system, emergency treatment procedures, use of medical equipment, and teamwork required in handling critical patients. The staff explained the importance of quick diagnosis and immediate treatment in saving lives.we also visited Ayush dispensary and medical College also
The visit was very informative and helped us understand the practical aspects of emergency and trauma care in a hospital.
A total of 49 students visited and 2 faculties participating Today.

Department of Agadtantra of Global institute of ayurved organised court visit
Place Visited: District Court Rajkot
Date - 12/3/26
We visited the District Court in Rajkot to understand the functioning of the judicial system and medico-legal procedures. The main objective of the visit was to observe court proceedings and learn how legal cases are handled.
During the visit, we observed the courtroom environment, the roles of the judge, lawyers, and other court staff. The judge listened to arguments from both sides and gave directions according to the law.
We also learned how evidence and documents are presented in court.
This visit helped our students understand the importance of law and justice in society. It was an informative experience that improved our knowledge about court procedures and medico-legal aspects.
We are thankful to the Adminstration of District court for permission and support.

🌸 Women’s Day Celebration at Global Institute of Ayurveda, Rajkot 🌸
यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः।
A special Women’s Day Celebration was organized at the GIA Auditorium on 9 March 2026 (Monday) from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM by the Extra curricular and Cultural Committee and NSS Department collaboratively
The program was held to celebrate the dedication and contribution of women at the institute.
The event included an engaging Quiz Competition followed by a Token of Gratitude and Certificate Distribution to all female teaching and non-teaching staff of GIA and GAH as a mark of appreciation for their valuable service.
During the session, inspiring speeches were delivered by Vd. Mehul Joshi (Campus Director) and Vd. Vijay Telang (Vice Principal), Vd.Minakshi Bagal, Vd.Mrunal Akre , motivating everyone and highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment and contribution in the academic and healthcare field.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Vd. Amruta Madam expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers who made the celebration memorable.

Global Sambhasha – Institutional Seminar (SFDP) 11/2026
The Department of Prasuti Ta**ra Evam Stree Roga at the Global Institute of Ayurveda successfully conducted an insightful seminar under the Global Sambhasha – Institutional Seminar (SFDP) series.
🎓 Ms. Nidhi Parmar (Intern), Batch 2020–21 delivered a presentation on the topic:
“Vulvovaginal Candidiasis: Conceptual Understanding and Ayurvedic Management through a Case Study.”
The seminar highlighted the clinical aspects of vulvovaginal candidiasis along with its Ayurvedic conceptual framework and management, demonstrated through a case-based approach, encouraging academic discussion and clinical insight among students and faculty.

Department of Agadtantra of Global institute of ayurved organised visit
Place Visited Kasturba Dham Manav Mandir, Tramba Rajkot

Time - 11 am to 1 pm
We visited Kasturba Dham Manav Mandir, an institution that provides care and shelter for mentally ill and abandoned people. The main aim of the visit was to understand how such patients behaviour and what is condition are managed and rehabilitated.
During the visit, we observed that the patients are provided with proper food, clothing, shelter, and natural environment.
The staff members take good care of them with patience and compassion. The environment of the institution was clean, peaceful, and supportive for the patients.
This visit helped us understand the importance of mental health and we learn about psychology and what need to care for mentally ill individuals in society. It was an informative and inspiring experience.

🎓 Global Sambhasha – Institutional Seminar (SFDP) 10/2026
Global Institute of Ayurveda successfully conducted an institutional seminar under the Global Sambhasha academic series.
Dr. Anjana A., Assistant Professor, Department of Prasuti Ta**ra Evam Stree Roga, delivered an insightful seminar on the topic:
“Clinical Presentations in Cervical Cancer: Prevention Strategies and Ayurvedic Protocols.”
The session highlighted the clinical manifestations of cervical cancer, emphasized the importance of early detection and preventive strategies, and discussed the role of Ayurvedic principles and protocols in prevention and supportive management. The seminar fostered academic discussion and enhanced awareness among students and faculty regarding women’s health and integrative approaches in oncology.
The Session was concluded by Dr Sheetal Joshi, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Prasuti Ta**ra Evam Stree Roga, Global Institute of Ayurveda.

Educational Visit Report: Water treatment plant, Ajidam
On 28th February 2026, a group of 54 students from batch 2023-24, Global Institute of Ayurveda along with staff membersVd.Snehal Patel and Vd.Aakash.K visited Water treatment plant, Ajidam .
The visit started from Water treatment plant, Ajidam at 10:30 am with a warm welcome by Mr. Ajaysinh jadeja-chemist, The office staff of Treatment plant, who gave an overview of the tratment plant's history, vision, and mission. The students were then taken on a tour of the treatment plant where they witnessed the entire process of water Purification , from raw water collection to purification using Rapid sand filters and Disinfection by chlorination. The staff member explained the various stages of purification and the quality/purity control measures taken to ensure the Water's freshness and quality.
The students were impressed by the modern machinery and technology used in the water treatment and appreciated the Plant staffs efforts to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
The visit was completed around 11:30am.
Overall, the visit was informative and insightful for the students, who gained practical knowledge about large scale Water purification and management.

As per tradition of Global Institute of Ayurveda and Global Ayurveda Hospital, we celebrated today Amalaki Ekadashi
Amalaki Ekadashi, observed during the Shukla Paksha of Phalguna (Feb/Mar), is a highly auspicious Hindu fast dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the sacred Amla (Indian gooseberry) tree. It signifies the purification of sins, attainment of salvation (Vaikuntha Dham), and the blessing of prosperity. It is believed that Lord Vishnu resides in the Amla tree, making its worship essential.
All the faculties, medical officers and students - intern actively together at Institute Herbal Garden for Pooja of Amakali and all chanted Vishnushastranam.
