The International Institute of Information Technology University Act, 2013 of the Government of Chhattisgarh enabled creation of the Institute. IIITNR is setup to promote and facilitate studies, research, incubation and extension work in Information Technology (IT), its application domains and related areas of knowledge. To enable this vision, IIITNR is being structured as a research centre and a
modern laboratory to empower inter-disciplinary research and to enable smooth transformation of knowledge into applications and products thereof. IIITNR is guided by a highly eminent Board, comprising industrialists such as Mr. Arogyswami Paulraj, Marconi Award-winner and Professor Emeritus, Stanford University; visionaries such as Dr. B K Gaiorla, Ex-Director, National e-Governance Mission among others. Equipped with latest in e-enabled teaching, learning facilities, IIIT-Naya Raipur has a state-of-the-art air-conditioned campus with seamless Wi-Fi connectivity and CCTV surveillance across the campus.
