*Career Counseling session on Profession as Chartered Accountant "*

The Department of Commerce and Management was organized a Guest lecture on Career Counseling session on the Profession of Chartered Accountancy (CA) on 22nd August 2026 @ Seminar Hall.

The Programme was graced by the Principal Dr. k G Kanade, Vice Principal Prof. Kiran Chaudhary, Registar Mrs. Ashwini Bhosale, HOD of Commerce and Management Dr. Sugriv Adal , Programme Co Ordinator Prof. Jayshree Armane , Faculties and students.

The Programme commenced with warm welcome By Prof. Shravani Kadane . Introduced the today's Resource Person CA Prajkta Chincholkar by Prof. Sujata Phadtare and followed by the felicitation ceremony.

The session was conducted by CA Prajkta Chincholkar Ma’am, who provided valuable guidance and insights into the CA profession and its career opportunities.

The *main objective* of the guest lecture was to create awareness among students about the CA course, eligibility criteria, examination pattern, practical training, career opportunities, and skills required to become a successful Chartered Accountant.
CA Prajkta Chincholkar Ma’am explained the different stages of the CA course and discussed the importance of proper planning, consistent study, time management, and discipline. She also highlighted the various career opportunities available to Chartered Accountants in auditing, taxation, accounting, finance, banking, consultancy, and corporate sectors.
During the session, Ma’am shared her professional experiences and motivated students to pursue their career goals with confidence and dedication. She emphasized the importance of developing analytical skills, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, professional ethics, and continuous learning.

The lecture was interactive and informative. Students actively participated in the session and asked questions related to the CA course, examinations, career prospects, and professional life. Ma’am addressed their queries and provided practical guidance.

A guest lecture on “ *Financial Literacy and Investment Awareness* ”

Department of Commerce and Management was organized " *A Guest Lecture on Finance Literacy and Investment Awareness"* on 21st August 2026.The Guest Lecture aimed to educate students about the importance of managing money wisely and making informed investment decisions.
The programme was graced by the Principal Dr. K.G. kanade, Vice Principal Prof. Kiran Chaudhary, Register Mrs. Ashwini Bhosale,Head of the Commerce and Management Dr.Sugriv Adal, Faculties and Students.
The Programme commenced with warm welcome and Introduced the today's Resource Person CA Tanish Mangal by Prof. Sarika Jagtap and followed by the felicitation ceremony.

The session was conducted by CA Tanish Mangal, who shared valuable insights into personal finance, savings, investments, and financial planning.
The lecture began with an introduction to the importance of financial literacy in everyday life. CA Tanish Mangal explained the need to understand income, expenses, budgeting, saving, and responsible borrowing. He emphasized that financial planning should begin at an early age so that individuals can develop disciplined money-management habits.

The speaker also discussed various investment avenues such as fixed deposits, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments. He explained the relationship between risk and return and highlighted the importance of choosing investments according to one's financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment horizon. Students were also made aware of the benefits of diversification and the importance of conducting proper research before investing.

An important part of the session focused on avoiding financial scams and making investment decisions based on reliable information rather than rumours or social-media trends. The lecture encouraged students to distinguish between saving and investing and to understand the power of compounding and long-term investing.

Placement Drive by Bajaj Housing Finance
Rajmata Jijau Shiksjan Prasarak Manda1s College of Arts, Commerce and Science organized a Placement Drive in collaboration with Bajaj Housing Finance on 23rd July 2026 at 10:00 AM for the students of B.Com and B.B.A.
The objective of the placement drive was to provide students with career opportunities in the banking and financial services sector and to bridge the gap between academia and industry by connecting students with one of India's leading housing finance companies.
The programme was graced by Principal Dr. K. G. Kanade, Vice-Principal Prof. Kiran Chaudhari, Registrar Mrs. Ashwini Bhosale, faculty members, representatives from Bajaj Housing Finance, and the students of B.Com and B.B.A.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Pranita Marodkar introduced the placement drive and highlighted its significance in enhancing students' career prospects and employability. Prof. Jayashreee Armani introduced the representatives from Bajaj Housing Finance, following which the dignitaries felicitated the company representatives.
The recruitment team from Bajaj Housing Finance conducted a pre-placement talk explaining the company's profile, work culture, career opportunities, job roles, eligibility criteria, and the recruitment process. A total of 45 students from B.Com and B.B.A. participated enthusiastically in the placement drive.
The recruitment process included an aptitude assessment, group interaction, and personal interview. Out of the 45 participating students, 20 students were shortlisted and selected for the next round based on their performance during the recruitment process.
The placement drive proved to be highly informative and beneficial for the students. It provided them with valuable exposure to the corporate recruitment process, enhanced their confidence, and created awareness about career opportunities in the banking and financial services sector.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Prof. Sarika Jagtap, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, Principal, company representatives from Bajaj Housing Finance, faculty members, and all the participating students for making the placement drive a grand success.

“One Day Workshop on New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Role of Artificial Intelligence in Commerce and Management”

The Department of Commerce and Management organised a One Day Workshop on New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Role of Artificial Intelligence in Commerce and Management on 21st July 2026. The workshop aimed to create awareness among students about the important features of NEP 2020 and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the fields of commerce and management.
The Programme was graced by the Principal Dr. K. G. Kanade, Vice- Principal Prof. Kiran Chaudhari, Registar Mrs. Ashwini Bhosale, Head of the Commerce and Management Department Dr. Sugirv Adal , Faculties and Students .
The Programme commenced with warm welcome by Prof. Anil Gambhire latar on Prof. Dhiraj Kadu introduced the today’s Resource Persron Dr. Sudhir Borate and followed by the felicitation ceremony .

**Session 1: New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Commerce and Management*

The first session - The objectives and key features of NEP 2020 delivered by the Resource Person Dr. Sudhir Borate sir and he explained how the policy focuses on holistic education, skill development, multidisciplinary learning, and digital education. The session also highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in commerce and management, including its applications in accounting, finance, marketing, business analytics, customer relationship management, and decision-making. Students were encouraged to develop digital skills to meet future industry requirements.

*Session 2: Structure of NEP 2020*
The second session conducted by Dr. Sugriv Adal and he explained the structure of NEP 2020, including the 5+3+3+4 educational framework. Dr. Sugriv Adal discussed flexible learning, multidisciplinary education, vocational training, multiple entry and exit options, and the importance of competency-based learning. The session helped students understand the changes introduced in the education system.

*Session 3: Scholarships for Students*
The third session Prof. Sunil Dandekar focused on scholarships and financial assistance available to students. Information was provided about various government scholarship schemes, eligibility criteria, the application process, and the importance of applying through official scholarship portals. Students were encouraged to make use of these opportunities to support their higher education.

*Session 4: Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID)*
The final session explained the concept of the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID). The resource person Dr. Pragati Gore described how students can create an ABC ID to digitally store their academic credits earned from recognized institutions. The session also covered the benefits of the ABC system, including credit transfer, flexible learning pathways, and multiple entry and exit options in higher education.

The workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Prof. Jayashree Aramani.

The workshop was informative, interactive, and beneficial for all participants. It enhanced students' understanding of the New Education Policy 2020, the role of Artificial Intelligence in commerce and management, the revised educational structure, scholarship opportunities, and the Academic Bank of Credits. The programme motivated students to take advantage of the new educational initiatives and prepare themselves for future academic and professional success.

लोकशाहीर अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांना विनम्र अभिवादन !
राजमाता जिजाऊ शिक्षण प्रसारक मंडळाचे, कला, वाणिज्य व विज्ञान महाविद्यालय लांडेवाडी, भोसरी, पुणे ३९ येथे शनिवार दि. १८ जुलै २०२६ रोजी लोकशाहीर अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांच्या पुण्यतिथीनिमित्त त्यांच्या प्रतिमेला पुष्पहार अर्पण करून विनम अभिवादन करण्यात आले .
याप्रसंगी महाविद्यालयाचे संस्थापक अध्यक्ष मा. विलास लांडे साहेब, उपप्राचार्य प्रा. किरण चौधरी, रजिस्ट्रार सौ. अश्विनी भोसले, उपप्राचार्या डॉ. नेहा बोरसे, सर्व प्राध्यापक वृंद उपस्थित होते.
लोकशाहीर अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांनी मराठी साहित्याला अजरामर केले ३३ कादंबऱ्या २२ कथासंग्रह, ११ लोकनाट्य, १२ पोवाडे, २५ लावण्या, एक प्रवास वर्णन आणि एक नाटक अशा विविध साहित्य प्रकारांमध्ये अण्णाभाऊंनी लेखन केले. अण्णाभाऊंची अत्यंत गाजलेली कादंबरी फकीरा ही डॉ. बाबासाहेब आबेडकरांच्या झुंजार लेखणीला त्यांनी अर्पण केली आहे. या कादंबरीला १९६१ मध्ये महाराष्ट्र राज्य साहित्य संस्कृती मंडळाचा उत्कृष्ट कादंबरी लेखनाचा पुरस्कार मिळाला. ग्रामीण, पदद‌लित, लाचारीचे जीवन जगणारी माणसे अण्णाभाऊंच्या लेखणीचा विषय झाली.
त्यांच्या पुण्यतिथीनिमित्त लोकशाहीर अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांना विनम्र अभिवादन !

Report on the Certificate Distribution Ceremony of Magic Bus – Connect with Work Programme

The Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the Magic Bus – Connect with Work Programme was organized on 18th Jully, 2026 successfully at Rajmata Jijau Shikshan Prasarak Mandal's Arts, Commerce and Science College, Landewadi, Bhosari, Pune, to recognize and appreciate the successful completion of the employability skills training programme by the students.

The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Hon. Vilas Lande Sir, whose inspiring presence made the occasion memorable. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The Principal and the Head of the Commerce and Management Department welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of skill development programmes in preparing students for employment and professional success. Hon. Vilas Lande Saheb addressed the students and motivated them to continuously enhance their skills, remain committed to lifelong learning, and make the best use of such opportunities for building successful careers. He also appreciated the efforts of Magic Bus India Foundation and the college for organizing employability-focused training programmes.
During the programme, certificates were distributed to the students who successfully completed the Magic Bus – Connect with Work Programme. The training focused on enhancing students' employability by developing essential workplace competencies, including:
Communication Skills (verbal and non-verbal communication, listening skills, and confidence building)

राजमाता जिजाऊ (जिजाबाई) या हिंदवी स्वराज्याचे संस्थापक छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या मातोश्री होत्या. त्यांचा जन्म १२ जानेवारी १५९८ रोजी बुलढाणा जिल्ह्यातील सिंदखेडराजा येथे झाला. त्या एक अत्यंत धाडसी, दूरदर्शी आणि कुशल मार्गदर्शक होत्या. त्यांनी बाल शिवाजी महाराजांच्या मनात स्वराज्य, स्वाभिमान आणि अन्यायाविरुद्ध लढण्याचे संस्कार रुजवले. म्हणूनच, त्यांना स्वराज्य जननी मानले जाते.
अशा या थोर मातेला त्रिवार मनाचा मुजरा !
