In continuation of my objective of making students aware of the importance of internships, let us understand why it is important and some good initiatives for successfully achieving the goal of improving Employability. We all know that unemployment is the most focused issue for almost all countries in the world. Many countries publish authentic unemployment data at regular intervals. Accepting the fact and working towards it is a very good approach for any country to resolve this critical issue. In developing countries like India, which has a huge population, the availability of correct data may be a problem. Also, publishing correct data can be a political problem for the ruling party, so I am not sure about publishing the right data and tracking happening in developing countries. But I can see a lot of efforts are going on at the ground level to address this issue in India currently. I can say this because I am part of the Corporate Initiative, which is trying to contribute towards the improvement of college students' employability skills. The efforts of colleges to make their students employable are visible. What is heartening to see is the government's new Initiative," PM Internship Scheme". Let me give you a brief update below.
