🏀 Ekatvam Interschool Basketball Competition Results 🏆

We are proud to share the excellent performance of our students at the Ekatvam Interschool Basketball Competition, held on 21st & 22nd April 2026 at CM International School, Balewadi.

Our Under-12 and Under-14 boys’ and girls’ teams showcased outstanding teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Jal Pakhwada Celebration

As part of the nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, our school enthusiastically celebrated Jal Pakhwada, a water conservation awareness campaign.

To promote the importance of saving water and to encourage students’ active participation, various competitions were organized for Classes VIII, IX, and X.

A quiz competition was conducted for students of Classes VIII, IX, and X, where participants showcased their knowledge about water conservation, environmental issues, and sustainable practices. The competition was highly engaging and encouraged critical thinking among students.

In addition to this:

Class VIII students participated in an Elocution Competition, expressing their views confidently on the importance of water conservation.

Class IX students took part in an Essay Writing Competition, where they presented thoughtful ideas and solutions related to water scarcity.

Class X students participated in a Slogan Writing Competition, creating impactful and creative slogans to spread awareness about saving water.

The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation and helped in spreading the message that “Water is life, and every drop matters.”

Overall, the celebration of Jal Pakhwada was a great success and served as a meaningful step towards building awareness and responsibility among students for conserving water.

On [Friday], [17.04.2026], City Pride School, Chikhali-Moshi organized the Avid Reader Felicitation to encourage the habit of reading among students of Std. 6th to 10th. The event aimed to recognize students who have shown great interest and dedication towards reading.

The programme was graced by our respected coordinators, who appreciated the efforts of the students. The selected readers were felicitated with Avid Reader badges and applause.

This initiative inspired students to develop a love for reading and continue their learning journey.

*“Leader in Me” Session for Parents*
*11th April 2026 | 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm | School Auditorium*

An engaging “Leader in Me” session was conducted by *Dr. Girish Kannan* and *Ms. Ritu Choudhary for parents*. *Suja Ma’am* set the tone with opening remarks, followed by a welcome address from *Head Girl Sattviki Sonawane*.

The speakers introduced the *Seven Habits of Leader in Me*, guiding parents on fostering responsibility, goal setting, teamwork, communication, and emotional balance at home. Key takeaways included avoiding comparisons, being role models, using positive affirmations, and applying the *“Big Rocks”* time management concept.

Students shared how the habits built their confidence and self-discipline. The session concluded with student presentations and a token of appreciation for guests.

The event inspired parents to nurture confident, responsible, and emotionally strong individual.

Basketball 🏀 competitions were organized under Sportscity Summer Games 2026 on 12th & 13th April 2026 at The Academy School, Tathawade.
Our School Under-12, Under-15, and Under-17 boy's’ and girl's’ teams participated enthusiastically. We are proud to share that our students achieved excellent results. They displayed great teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication throughout the tournament.

Market Day was organised for BalVatika 2 . The entire BV corridor was transformed into a miniature Marketplace.Children role played as Tea vendor, balloon seller, Grocers , Fruit and Vegetable sellers.The corridor reflected the vibrant energy of Market with the shouts of bhaji ghaya bhaji, gubbare lelo, chai garam, chana jor garam. It was a hand on experience for the little learners about transaction of money, making their own choices, bargaining .Market Day emphasized on the importance of including healthy fresh veggies,fruits, pulses in our diet and at the same time the Use of cloth/ paper bags was reinforced on the young minds. An enthusiastic, enjoyable day for the BV 2 children.

The Fireless Cooking Activity was organised for BalVatika Section featuring enthusiastic participation from BV1(Nursery), BV2 (LKG) and BV3( UKG) students. These activities were aimed to foster creativity, teamwork and healthy eating habits in a safe and flame free environment.The little chefs prepared nutritious dishes :
Nursery - Nutritious Vegetable Salad 🥗 wherein children mixed veggies like beetroots, cucumbers, radish,carrots, tomatoes,mint , coriander with a dash of lemon juice.
BV2 - Rainbow Fruit Salad wherein children mixed chopped fresh fruits like apple, arils of pomegranate, strawberry,grapes and made delicious healthy Fruit Salad .
BV3 - Savoury Bhel
Students mixed puffed rice with finely chopped vegetables like tomatoes , cucumbers, onions with a dash of tangy imli chutney and raw mango.
The Activities ended with a yummy tasting session of the dishes made which were enjoyed throughly by the children.

The “Occupations” activity was conducted in Std. 2 to help students learn about different professions in a fun and interactive way. Each student chose an occupation, came dressed in an appropriate costume, and brought a simple tool related to the profession. The children confidently spoke 5–6 lines about their chosen occupation, explaining the work and importance of that profession. The classroom was filled with excitement as students appeared as doctors, teachers, farmers, police officers, chefs, pilots, and many more. All the students participated enthusiastically, making the activity both enjoyable and educational.

The festival of Holi was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school on 2nd March 2026. To make the celebration safe and joyful, each class was provided with two colours and students were allowed to play Holi during the last period.

The celebration was organized under the guidance of the celebration in-charges Pallavi S., Yogita, and Manjula, who ensured that the event was conducted smoothly and in a disciplined manner.

During the morning assembly, students spoke about the importance of Holi, explaining its cultural and social significance. They highlighted how the festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil and spreads the message of unity, happiness, and togetherness.

In the last period, students from all classes enjoyed playing Holi with colours in a joyful and friendly environment. The celebration brought smiles and excitement among students and teachers alike, making the day memorable for everyone.

Overall, the Holi celebration was conducted successfully and helped students understand the cultural importance of the festival while enjoying it responsibly.

Our school celebrated National Science Day on 27 February with great enthusiasm. The program began with a welcome speech during the morning assembly, highlighting the importance of science and remembering the contributions of C. V. Raman.
Students then presented a Vidnyan Ekankika titled “Aaplya Haweche Bill”, which spread awareness about air pollution and environmental conservation. Immediately after the play, students were felicitated in the assembly for various competitions organized on the occasion, and certificates and prizes were distributed.
Later, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a Science Exhibition was held in the amphitheater, inaugurated by Suja Ma’am. Students displayed creative models and experiments.

The day was educational, inspiring, and a grand success.
