Today, on 16 July 2026, we observe the first death anniversary of Late Dr. Deepak Tilak.

Under the guidance and inspiration of Late Dr. Deepak Tilak, the Department of Ayurveda has successfully completed 10 research projects and is presently undertaking 3 ongoing research projects.

On the occasion of the first death anniversary of Late Dr. Deepak Tilak, marking this significant day, the Department formally commenced the transcription of 12 Ayurvedic manuscripts, entrusted by the National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. This prestigious national assignment will be carried out by a team of 9 researchers from the Department.

The commencement of this national assignment was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Geetali Tilak, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor,Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.

On this occasion, Dr. Manoja Joshi, Principal Investigator of the project and Head of the Department of Ayurveda, along with the research team, were present.

Prof. (Dr.) Geetali Tilak and Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit Joshi, Dean, Faculty of Ayurveda and Director General, DHEYA, addressed the gathering and encouraged the researchers for this initiative.

The program concluded with all present paying their respectful tributes to the memory of Late Dr. Deepak Tilak whose vision and dedication continue to inspire the Department's pursuit of excellence in research. ✨️
