We are so engrossed in our responsibilities that we tend to forget the outside world. We give less priority to friends, get-together, meeting our relatives, and more priority to daily chores. Eventually, we literally become unaware of what's happening in the world.
Maintain your network, as it will help you to make a comeback. Keep yourself updated for new opportunities.

Have you experienced a void in your life?
When we are on a career break, sometimes we feel an emptiness in life. Since friends are working, they too do not have time to listen to you... we even feel neglected. Life seems to be unfair... many times this leads to a feeling of being depressed.
Dear friends! You are not alone. The best you can do is talk to someone...maybe your mother or a friend. Pen down your thoughts. Draw your emotions on paper. Sing songs or dance freely. Don't suppress the emotions. Feel free to call us. We are there for you.

This issue is common in postpartum depression and career break. With pregnancy, hormonal changes, or other health issues, our body changes. Mind and body require time to heal.
Don't be too harsh on yourself. Enjoy the break and love yourself unconditionally.

I learned in my 4th std that my mother was a post-grad and she preferred staying back at home to raise me and my brother. I felt so proud of her.
Our kids should know about the choices (or sacrifices) we made.

Career break issue no.8
Kitty party is not everyone's cup of tea. It's good for socializing but we can look at it as a networking event also. Women who want to restart their careers actually need some groups or sources to enhance their skills. We need someone to guide and help us to make a comeback.
Let's help our sisters to get back to the workforce.

Presenting issue no.7
Being at home, our schedule is not fixed (considering childcare responsibilities). So, when we are free, our friends are busy and vice versa. At times, one feels lonely. I guess, need to find that common ground.

One of the biggest mistake we do is compromising the reason for our career break. If you have taken a break to look after your kid, then please do so. If your reason is to take care of your health, then pay attention to your emotional, mental and physical well-being. You have sacrificed/compromised your career for this reason.Give maximum amount of your time to fulfill this major responsibility.... don't burden yourself with additional ones. Delegate those to other members.
Different people will have different perceptions about your career break. You take a stand for yourself.
Do justice with that reason.

Even women who are at home or who are on a career break, feel overwhelmed by the daily routine. We need our ME Time. Being at home doesn't mean we are free and available all the time.

Have you experienced this, a feeling of being left out in a conversation? When we meet our friends/office colleagues after a long time, we are literally out of sync with them. It seems..our life has changed a lot.
