The fields of AI, machine learning (ML), computer engineering, & information technology (IT) are interwoven, driving innovation across industries. This tech talk explored their definitions, interconnections, & future implications at Raisoni Group Of Institutions, G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, pune

The engineering landscape is evolving rapidly, with new technologies & methodologies emerging every day. To ensure that new engineers are prepared for the demands of the industry, it’s crucial to equip them with the right skills, experiences, & mindsets.

My talk was designed to bridge the gap between academia & industry. Sharing my journey of learning & exploring the emerging technologies was a great way to ice-break. Understanding the Basics of the buzz around today's technologies to the future emerging Engineers.
1.Artificial Intelligence (AI)
2. Machine Learning (ML)
3. Computer Engineering
4. Information Technology (IT)

Current Trends
1. Explainable AI (XAI): XAI aims to make AI outputs understandable, enhancing trust & compliance.
2. Edge Computing: The shift towards processing data closer to the source (i.e., on edge devices) improves response times and reduces bandwidth use. This trend supports real-time AI applications in IoT environments.
3. AI in Cybersecurity: Machine learning algorithms are increasingly used to identify & respond to threats in real-time, making cybersecurity systems more adaptive & resilient.
4. Collaborative Intelligence: The future lies in the collaboration between humans & AI systems, combining human intuition & creativity with machine efficiency & data processing capabilities.

Future Implications
1. Skill Development: As these fields evolve, there’s a growing need for professionals with interdisciplinary skills. Education & training programs must adapt to prepare individuals for careers that bridge AI, ML, engineering, and IT.
2. Ethics and Regulation: The rapid advancement of AI raises ethical considerations regarding bias, accountability, & privacy. Establishing frameworks for responsible AI use will be critical in maintaining public trust.
3. Job Transformation: While AI & automation may disrupt certain jobs, they also create opportunities for new roles that focus on managing, interpreting, & leveraging AI systems effectively.

The interplay between AI, machine learning, computer engineering, & information technology is reshaping our world. Understanding these fields & their relationships is essential for anyone looking to navigate the future of technology.
By focusing on hands-on experience, skill development, industry partnerships, continuous learning, networking, real-world challenges, & ethical considerations, we can empower emerging engineers to be industry-ready. The goal is to create a generation of engineers who are not only technically proficient but also adaptable, innovative, & socially responsible.

Aishwarya Boddapati mam the world’s first woman officer to have circumnavigated the world on INS Tarini - A ship 🛳️ curated and built in India.

Your grit, dedication and determination helped to scale such heights of success and glory.

It was a poignant moment for the “Navika Sagar Parikrama” team which included a number of naval personnel who worked behind the scenes from the time of origination of the idea of circumnavigation by an all women crew, right through the planning, implementation and training till the successful ex*****on of the voyage.

This is the first-ever Indian circumnavigation of the globe by an all-women crew. The vessel was skippered by Lieutenant Commander Vartika Joshi, and the crew comprised Lieutenant Commanders Pratibha Jamwal, P Swathi, and Lieutenants S Vijaya Devi, B Aishwarya and Payal Gupta.

During her 254 day long voyage, the vessel has covered over 22,000 Nautical miles, visiting five countries – Australia, New Zealand, Falkland Islands (UK), South Africa and Mauritius.

During the course of her voyage, the vessel has met all criteria of circumnavigation, viz. crossing the Equator twice, crossing all Longitudes, as also the three great capes (Cape Leeuwin, Cape Horn and Cape of Good Hope). The expedition was covered in six legs, with halts at 5 ports: Fremantle (Australia), Lyttleton (New Zealand), Port Stanley (Falklands), Cape Town (South Africa) and Port Louis (Mauritius).

The crew and the vessel encountered rough seas on numerous occasions during the voyage. The extremely cold climate coupled with stormy weather conditions especially in the Southern Ocean made the task of circumnavigating the globe highly daunting and challenging. The vessel also witnessed winds in excess of 60 knots and waves up to 7 meters high, whilst crossing the Pacific Ocean.

The expedition titled ‘Navika Sagar Parikrama’ is in consonance with the National policy to empower women to attain their full potential. It has showcased ‘Nari Shakti’ on the world platform and helped change societal attitudes and mindset towards women in India by raising visibility of their participation in challenging environs.

It’s not the girls achieving, it’s the youngsters from India achieving. The women of this country have shown that it is possible for the youngsters, if they want to do something, that they can indeed do it, by showing commitment, grit and dedication.

You are our true inspiration and listening to your journey has widened our horizons of life. Thanks 🙏 for this wonderful opportunity and sharing your journey at Crescendo125.
