80th Independence Day Celebration 2026
Achievers International School, Pratappur, organised a grand celebration filled with patriotism and enthusiasm on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. The Chief Guest was Janpad President Mrs. Sukhmaniya Singh Ayam. The distinguished guests included Mandal President Mukesh Tayal, Nagar Panchayat President Mrs. Manti Yogendra Singh, Government Advocate Akshay Tiwari, Awadhesh Pandey, Ajay Jaiswal, Ankur Jaiswal, and Ashok Jaiswal. A large number of parents, students, and prominent citizens also attended the programme.
The programme commenced with floral tributes to Bharat Mata and the immortal martyrs, followed by the unfurling of the National Flag and the rendition of the national song and the National Anthem. Students presented an impressive march past and saluted the dignitaries. Colourful balloons were released to convey the message of national unity. The students also captivated the audience with vibrant cultural performances filled with patriotic spirit.
The Chief Guest highlighted the significance of independence and inspired the students to actively contribute to nation-building. The distinguished guests also addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to work for the welfare and progress of the nation.
Students who secured more than 90% marks in the CBSE examinations — Alisha Khan, Shreya Singh, and Sakshi-Nidhi Khamaria — were honoured by the school management with a cheque of ₹10,000 each, along with a certificate of appreciation and a memento.
Students who scored more than 80% marks — Vikas Yadav, Ayush Gupta, Aditya Verma, Sunil Yadav, Krishna Gupta, Alia Parveen, and Mahi Gupta — were presented with certificates of appreciation and medals.
Teachers Prakhar Pandey, Rohane Mehra, and Savita Toppo were also felicitated for their contribution towards the excellent examination results.
In the March Past competition, Tagore House secured the first position, Ashoka House stood second, and Lajpat House secured the third position.
Among the patriotic performances, “Itihas Ka Aaina” won the first prize, “Jhansi Ki Rani” secured the second prize, while the Qawwali performance was awarded the third prize. Meghnath Das and Rajveer Rajak were also awarded prizes in the Inter-House Drawing Competition.
Vice Principal Mr. Sunil Mahapatra shared his thoughts on the significance of Independence Day. Director of the institution and Principal Dr. Rakesh Mohan Mishra, in his address, encouraged the students to become responsible and patriotic citizens and expressed his gratitude to all the guests and parents for their presence and support.
The dedicated efforts and commendable contribution of all the teachers and staff members of the school played a vital role in making the Independence Day celebration a grand success.
