Subject: Concern about the Rising Prices of Diesel and Petrol

Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the continuous rise in the prices of diesel and petrol in our country.
The increasing fuel prices have badly affected the common people. As diesel and petrol become costlier, the prices of essential goods such as vegetables, food items, and transport fares also increase. It becomes very difficult for middle-class and poor families to manage their daily expenses. Students and office workers are also facing problems due to high transportation costs.

Farmers are especially suffering because diesel is used in tractors and irrigation pumps. The rise in fuel prices increases the cost of farming, which ultimately affects the prices of food grains.

I request the government to take necessary steps to control fuel prices and provide relief to the common people. Strict measures should be taken to reduce unnecessary taxes on fuel.

I hope the concerned authorities will take this matter seriously and act quickly in the public interest.
