The pandemic has brought about many changes. One of the reasons which have impacted me personally is that the preschools here in India are shut.

Disciplining our toddlers about sitting in one place , hold a pen / marker and write as we instruct is not so easy at it seems !
After all it's just abc right ? Ah ! But it is a difficult and challenging task when th child is on the first stage of learning and has never been to a pre - school before. We all want our toddlers to be clever and write and read , like I want my darling 3yo son to do.
I let him scribble. Everyday I make it a point that I make him hold a paint brush , and let him learn strokes. I give him a marker , hold a stencil type object and let him scribble. The messy scribbling is the most initial and essential stage of writing.
In my personal experience, being very very patient with the child , is very important.

They will throw the paint brush away if they don't like it , or tear paper if you want them to draw. But they end up loving it and learn fast only if we help them practise EVERYDAY and make it a habit from home !

We must not worry ! They will eventually get hold of the Montessori discipline at home too !!
