The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an orientation programme for faculty members on “Holistic and Authentic Approach in Education – New Trends and Challenges: Teachers’ Role” on 04.07.2026. The programme was led by Rev. Fr. Dr. A. Michael John, SJ, M.A., MBA, Ph.D., Director, St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (JIM), St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli. The session was conducted at the Conference Hall from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, focusing on emerging trends and challenges in education and the evolving role of teachers. All faculty members participated in the programme.

⚡ 5-Day Value Added Course on “Internet of Energy” ⚡

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering successfully organized a 5-Day Value Added Course on “Internet of Energy” for II-Year (III Semester) EEE students from 06.07.2026 to 10.07.2026. The course provided students with valuable insights into optimizing, automating, and modernizing electrical systems, along with an introduction to the emerging Internet of Energy (IoE) concept. The sessions also focused on renewable energy technologies and their practical applications, strengthening both theoretical knowledge and technical skills. A total of 31 II-Year EEE students actively participated and benefited from the programme. 🌱⚡

🚁 5-Day Value Added Course on “Drone Technology and its Application”

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering successfully organized a 5-Day Value Added Course on “Drone Technology and its Application” for III-Year and IV-Year EEE students from 06.07.2026 to 10.07.2026. The programme provided students with valuable insights into drone technology, operating principles, and its diverse applications in engineering and industry. The sessions combined theoretical concepts with practical demonstrations, enhancing students’ understanding of modern drone technologies. A total of 31 III-Year and IV-Year EEE students actively participated and benefited from the programme. 🚀

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), St. Anne's College of Engineering and Technology, organized a Five-Day Value-Added Course on "Prompt Engineering" from 06.07.2026 to 10.07.2026 for final-year AIML students. The programme was conducted by Mrs. M. Sangeetha, Founder & CEO, SkillsIn Corp. On the first day, students learned the fundamentals of Prompt Engineering and different prompt types. The second day covered Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-assisted email generation, and professional content creation. The third day focused on AI image generation and poster design using effective prompts. The fourth day introduced AI-assisted coding, debugging, and code optimization techniques. On the final day, students were trained in AI-based resume preparation and portfolio building.

The resource person also demonstrated real-time industry projects developed by the company, giving students practical exposure to Generative AI applications. Interactive hands-on sessions helped students gain confidence in using AI tools effectively.


The programme concluded successfully with the distribution of company-issued certificates to all participants. Overall, the Value-Added Course enriched students understanding of Prompt Engineering and its practical applications in today's AI-driven world.
