द इंडियन मैथमेटिक एंड साइंस एसोसिएशन के तत्वावधान में कक्षा 6 से 12 एवं स्नातक व स्नातकोत्तर छात्रों के लिए अखिल भारतीय स्तर पर आर्यभट्ट टैलेंट सर्च टेस्ट इन मैथमेटिक्स एंड साइंस प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा 2026 का ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण की तिथि 10 फरवरी 2026 से बढ़कर 16 मार्च 2026 तक विस्तारित किया गया है। डॉ विजय कुमार सचिव थे इंडियन मैथमेटिक एंड साइंस एसोसिएशन ने बताया कि निदेशक माध्यमिक शिक्षा बिहार सरकार, केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा, नई दिल्ली, राज्य परियोजना निदेशक- उत्तर प्रदेश, राज्य परियोजना निदेशक शिक्षा विभाग झारखंड, नवोदय विद्यालय समिति, केंद्रीय विद्यालय संगठन, डी.ए.वी पब्लिक स्कूल के द्वारा अधिक छात्रों की भागीदारी हेतु पत्र प्रेषित किया गया है। इन्होंने बताया कि अधतन तक सभी राज्यों से कुल 40405 छात्रों ने पंजीकरण किया है। इन पंजीकरण में बिहार 18041, उत्तर प्रदेश 4112, महाराष्ट्र 2041, झारखंड 1910, राजस्थान 1552, दिल्ली 1452, हरियाणा 1386, वेस्ट बंगाल 1234, उड़ीसा 1232, पंजाब 951, तमिलनाडु 856, तेलंगाना 742, केरल 660,मध्य प्रदेश 622,आंध्र प्रदेश 608, गुजरात 582,कर्नाटक 574, छत्तीसगढ़ 354, उत्तराखंड 325, हिमाचल प्रदेश 254, असम 214, चंडीगढ़ 150, लद्दाख 135, जम्मू कश्मीर 115, पांडिचेरी 92, त्रिपुरा 75, गोवा 60, दादर नगर हवेली 32 मेघालय 30, अंडमान एंड निकोबार 10, अरुणाचल प्रदेश 9, सिक्किम 3 एवं मणिपुर 2 छात्रों द्वारा पंजीकरण किया गया है।
संगठन के अध्यक्ष प्रोफेसर के.सी.सिंहा ने बताया कि इस प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा का आयोजन का उद्देश्य छात्रों में गणित एवं विज्ञान को पॉपुलर करना, अभिरुचि पैदा करना एवं चयनित छात्रों को पुरस्कृत एवं प्रशिक्षण करने की योजना है।
विदित हो कि इस प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा मे भाग लेने के लिए छात्रों को किसी प्रकार का शुल्क नहीं लिया जा रहा है। छात्रों को ऑनलाइन आवेदन www.imsaindia.org पर 16 मार्च 2026 तक ऑनलाइन आवेदन किया जा सकता है।

Subject: Registration Deadline Extended till 16 March 2026 for Aryabhatta Talent Search Test in Mathematics and Science 2026
Under the aegis of The Indian Mathematics and Science Association, the last date for online registration for the Aryabhatta Talent Search Test in Mathematics and Science Competition Examination 2026 has been extended from 10 February 2026 to 16 March 2026. The examination is being conducted at the All India level for students from Classes 6 to 12 as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Dr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary of The Indian Mathematics and Science Association, informed that letters have been sent by the Director of Secondary Education, Government of Bihar; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi; State Project Director – Uttar Pradesh; State Project Director, Education Department – Jharkhand; Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti; Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan; and D.A.V. Public Schools to ensure greater participation of students.
He further stated that so far a total of 40,405 students from across the country have registered. The state-wise registrations are as follows: Bihar – 18,041; Uttar Pradesh – 4,112; Maharashtra – 2,041; Jharkhand – 1,910; Rajasthan – 1,552; Delhi – 1,452; Haryana – 1,386; West Bengal – 1,234; Odisha – 1,232; Punjab – 951; Tamil Nadu – 856; Telangana – 742; Kerala – 660; Madhya Pradesh – 622; Andhra Pradesh – 608; Gujarat – 582; Karnataka – 574; Chhattisgarh – 354; Uttarakhand – 325; Himachal Pradesh – 254; Assam – 214; Chandigarh – 150; Ladakh – 135; Jammu & Kashmir – 115; Puducherry – 92; Tripura – 75; Goa – 60; Dadra and Nagar Haveli – 32; Meghalaya – 30; Andaman & Nicobar Islands – 10; Arunachal Pradesh – 9; Sikkim – 3; and Manipur – 2 students.
The President of the organization, Professor K.C. Sinha, stated that the objective of this competition examination is to popularize mathematics and science among students, develop their interest in these subjects, and provide awards and training to selected students.
It is noteworthy that no registration fee is being charged for participation in this competition examination. Students can apply online at www.imsaindia.org until 16 March 2026.

Mathematics and Science competition exam registration until March 16.
The online registration date for the Aryabhatta Talent Search Test in Mathematics and Science competition exam-2026, organized at an all-India level by The Indian Mathematic and Science Association for students of class six to twelfth and undergraduate and postgraduate students, has been extended to March 16.
The previous deadline was February 10.
Association Secretary Dr. Vijay Kumar said that so far 40,405 students from all states have registered. Of these, 18,041 students are from Bihar and 40,405 students are from across the country.
Organization President Professor KC Sinha said that the purpose of organizing this competition is to promote mathematics and science among students and to generate interest.
Selected students will be awarded prizes.
No fee is being charged from students to participate in this competition.
Students can apply online by visiting www.imsaindia.org by March 16.

Online Applications Open for All India Aryabhatta Talent Search Test in Mathematics and Science (ATSTMS)
The online application process has commenced for the All India Aryabhatta Talent Search Test in Mathematics and Science (ATSTMS), a national-level competition organized by the Indian Mathematics and Science Association (IMSA).
The decision to conduct the examination was taken during a meeting of the Executive Council of IMSA held on Sunday. The competition will be open to students from Classes VI to XII, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing mathematics and science disciplines across the country.
Renowned mathematician Prof. K.C. Sinha, President of IMSA and former Vice-Chancellor of Nalanda Open University, formally announced the initiative. He stated that the primary objective of ATSTMS is to identify young talent in mathematics and science and to motivate students toward higher learning, research, and academic excellence in these fields.
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official website of the association, www.imsaindia.org
The application window will remain open from December 22, 2025, to February 10, 2026, in celebration of National Mathematics Day.
Explaining the examination structure, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary of IMSA and Director of the College of Commerce, Arts and Science, Patna, informed that the competition will be conducted in two stages.
Level One will be a screening test comprising 25 multiple-choice questions.
Candidates who qualify the screening test will advance to Level Two, which will consist of long-answer questions aimed at evaluating subject knowledge, logical reasoning, and analytical abilities.
The Executive Council also discussed plans to expand the association’s academic and research activities. Prof. S.S. Khare, Executive Member and Chairman of the Editorial Board Formation Committee, along with Prof. S.K. Pandey, Vice President of IMSA and Professor at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, stated that IMSA currently publishes three research journals in the areas of Mathematical Science, Biological Science, and Physical Science, which will be further strengthened and expanded in the future.
