Those words which help other words of the sentence to make a meaningful sentence,are called Auxiliary Verbs.They are 24.

Verbs are of two types--
(1)Auxiliary Verb & (2)Main Verb

Verb is the only Parts of Speech which is affected by the changes of Subject and Tense of the Sentence.
