It was recognized by the State Government. Then, the school was known as A. After his death in the year 1942, his wife Tmt. Rajammal took over the administration and managed the school as 'Shri P. Muthaiyar School' till 1946. Next Mr. Nadesan Nephew of P. Muthaiyar was managing the school from 1947 to 1983. School was upgraded to Upper primary (Middle) School in the year 1950 with standards VI to
VIII. From 1983 to 1997 Thriu S. Selvaraj was managing the school. Because of his illness he came to a point that he may not be able to manage the school anymore and he wished to hand over to someone who can take it up. At that time the school's buildings made of mud walls and thatched roofs were all in a very dilapidated condition and minimum Infrastructure facilities was lacking. If the school is to be continued, it was high time that the buildings has to be reconstructed, furniture and equipments has to be replaced. Since this service suits to our charism, the sisters of the Congregation of St. Anne, Tiruchirapalli, came forward to take this institution for the cause of the poor people of this locality. When the sisters took up the management in June 1997 everything was in a ruined stage. But with faith in God and commitment in their service, sisters began to work for these poor school children since then. High school:
Taking into consideration of the request from the parents and the prevailing conditions of the public transport system in the area and the distance between the schools at that time forced us to upgrade the middle school into High school (9th & 10th standards) for the sake of the children in this area in 1998 – 1999. Higher Secondary School:
Once again with the compulsion of the parents and the well-wishers from the villages, sisters had to upgrade the High School into Higher Secondary School (11th & 12th.Standard) in 2003 – 2004. Dawn of Muthaiyar primary school and Muthaiyar Higher Secondary school:
For proper administration it was felt that the school should be bifurcated. So Muthaiyar middle school was bifurcated into Muthaiyar Primary school having 1st standard to 5th standard. And from standard 6th to 12th as Muthaiyar Higher Secondary School. We are happy to note that the admissions of students are increasing more and more every year. Up to primary and middle school (1st to 8th) teachers are getting Government aided salary. The rest of the teachers are getting salary from the management. The congregation of St. Anne, Trichy is paying the salary. Midday meals, Free cycle, Books, SC, ST & Minority scholarships are given by government.
