History students from Holy Cross College, Trichy visited Maivarai between May 25 - 27, 2026 as a part of their learning internship. We had an opportunity to talk about the lifestyles of tribal communities in tamilnadu, particularly the palani hills. It was a wonderful experience and Maivarai looks forward a continued relationship with the Holy Cross College, Dept of History.

We appreciate and thank Dr. Pricilla, Head of the Department, Other staffs, students and the management of Holy Cross College for providing such experiences to their students.

The certificates for the Children’s Leadership Training Program were distributed yesterday, on 29-05-2026. Among the participants, one boy and one girl were specially recognized and honoured with special certificates for their outstanding leadership qualities.

What followed was a beautiful moment.

As everyone gathered for the group photograph, holding their participation certificates with excitement, the two children who had received special recognition did something remarkable. Quietly and without drawing attention, they slipped their special certificates behind their participation ones and stood alongside their peers—just like everyone else.

In that simple, unspoken act, they demonstrated a rare kind of leadership—one rooted in humility, inclusion, and togetherness.

It is these small yet powerful qualities in children that plant deep seeds of hope for a more compassionate and grounded future.

The past two days were very important in the leadership training program for children. The children discussed the qualities of good leadership. It was inspiring to see them naturally resolving small conflicts among themselves without anyone’s guidance. They approached problems with patience and understanding, without hatred or anger.

Each child expressed their leadership qualities in different ways — by including everyone, caring for younger children, and supporting one another.

The second day was filled with many games and activities. At the end of the day, the children divided themselves into three groups and performed dramas. All the performances had wonderful stories and expressive acting.

On the third day, discussions were held about leadership qualities and some of the most significant nonviolent movements in history. The children’s questions showed how deeply they were inspired by those events.

Later, the group visited the Shenbaganur Museum and a hilltop viewpoint. The journey was filled with fun, laughter, and playful moments, making the two days a satisfying and memorable experience.

மைவரையில் பதின்ம வயது குழந்தைகளுக்கான தலைமைத்துவ பயிற்சி நேற்று (21.05.2026)ல் துவங்கியது. 10 குழந்தைகளுக்கு மட்டுமே திட்டமிடப்பட்ட இந்த பயிற்சிப் பட்டறை 15 குழந்தைகளின் வரவுடன் தொடங்கியது.

12 முதல் 16 வயது வரையிலான ஆண் மற்றும் பெண் பதின்ம வயதினர் பங்கேற்ற இந்த முகாமின் அனுபவங்கள் நாம் அனைவரும் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டியவை. எனவே, அவற்றின் மிக முக்கிய தகவல்களை இங்கே தொடர் பதிவாக பதிவிடுகிறேன்.

முதல் நாள் நிகழ்வு வ*ன்முறை மற்றும் வ*ன்முறையற்ற சமூகம் / பார்வை / சுய வாழ்வின் அடிப்படையாக மாறியது. குழந்தைகள் சிறிது நேர உரையாடலுக்குப் பின்னராக குழுக்களாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டு ஒரு பணி வழங்கப்பட்டது.

ஒவ்வொரு குழுவுக்கும் தினசரி நாளிதழ் ஒன்று வழங்கப்பட்டு அந்த நாளிதழில் இடம் பெற்றுள்ள வ*ன்முறை சார்ந்த நிகழ்வுகளின் எண்ணிக்கை மற்றும் அதிலிருந்து 3 மனதை பா*திக்கும் நிகழ்வுகளை பட்டியலிட்டு அதன் ஆணி வேர்ப் பிரச்சனையை ஆராய்வதே அந்த பணி.

குழந்தைகள் மூன்று அணியாக பட்டியலிட்ட 9 வ*ன்முறைச் சம்பவங்களில் 5 சம்பவங்கள் பெண்கள் மீதான பா*லியல் தாக்குதலாகவும், 1 சம்பவம் பெண்கள் மீதான வரதட்சனை பா*திப்புகளாகவும், 1 தீ*விரவாதமாகவும், 1 போர் மற்றும் 1 போ*தைப் பழக்கத்தினால் ஏற்பட்டதாகவும் இருந்தது.

குழந்தைகளின் சமூகம் மீதான பார்வை, உரையாடல் அனைத்தும் நம் கற்பனையைக் கடந்தவையாகவும், பிரம்மிப்பானவையாகவும் இருந்தது. அவர்கள் பட்டியலிட்டதில் 66% பெண்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் மீதான தா*க்குதலாகவும், போதை, போர் மற்றும் தீ*விரவாதம் தலா 11% ஆகவும் வகைப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர்.

சமூகத்தில் ஏற்படும் அனைத்து தா*க்குதலிலும் பெண்களும், குழந்தைகளும் எப்படி அதிகம் பா*திக்கப்படுபவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர் என்பது குழந்தைகளின் இந்த ஆய்வு விளங்கப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
