Programming in ELIXIR

FOSS CELL, GEC SKP is cunducting a workshop on "ELIXIR", a young, amazing and powerful language which runs on top of the Erlang VM. It combines features like concurrency/fault-tolerance/distributed computing features of Erlang with a modern syntax and macro support.

Java Programming - 2 day workshop.

FOSS CELL GEC SKP is conducting a 2-day workshop in Java programming. The workshop is handled by Mr Razee Marikar, Application Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies and an alumini of GEC SKP.

Date : 23-24th Oct
Venue : Project Lab , CSE Department.

Due to several technical difficulties the participation is limited to FOSS MEMBERS ONLY and limited number of students.

Interested students please contact foss co-ordinator of your class.

ROBO RECIPE - 3 day workshop

FOSS GEC SKP presents "The Complete ROBO RECIPE".

Date: 7th-9th Nov
Reg Fee: Rs 3000 per group
Students per group: 6 (Max)

A group of 6 students will be provided with a kit to work on.Participants will be selected based on the registrations since space is limited. Selected participants will be informed via email.
Only one student per group has to register.

FOSS GEC SKP presents "The Complete ROBO RECIPE" , a three day workshop on "Robotics". The workshop will be conducted on 7th,8th and 9th of November.

Robots planned for the workshop :

1. Line Following Robot
2. Obstacle Avoiding Robot
3. Wireless Controlled Robot
4. Gesture Controlled Robot
5. Mobile Phone Controlled Robot
6. Fire Sensing Robot
7. Construction and control of a robotic arm
8. Miscellaneous mobile robots as time permits/ guide for advanced robotics

A group of 6 students will be provided with a kit to work on.

Kit includes: Robot controller board, cable, associated electronic components, sensors and PCBs, robot kit with chassis, wheels and motors, servo motors, AC adapter and connector wires.

FOSS CELL GEC SKP is conducting a session in Robotics on July 31,2014 forenoon.

The session is on Introduction to Robotics (Industrial and Mobile Robotic Systems) . The talk will be handled by Dr. Prahlad Vadakkepat (http://www.vadakkepat.com/) , Associate Professor at National University Of Singapore. He is a senior member of IEEE and his Humanoid robots and robot soccer teams have consistently won several international prizes.
