Railway High School, Palakkad is situated in Railway Colony. The school was initially started by Indian Railways as a primary school, under un-aided programme of the government of Kerala. In the year 1979, with the initiative of the then Head Master Mr P Madhavan along with the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) took up the issue o

f upgrading the school to a middle school. Due to lack of response from the State Government Authority, the Head Master with his vision & true leadership started 5th standard. Once the students of 5th standard passed the final exams, he started 6th class and so on to 10th standard. Except one student, all the other students had taken the TC(Transfer Certificate)and had joined schools like PMG, St Thomas convent,while Prathapan PP continued in the school. Fortunately the recognition from state government was accorded in time and rest of the students came back. It was with the then Head Master's vision & initiation that the first batch of 10th standard students passed out in the year 1984. The School achieved a 100% pass mark by all the students of the first batch scoring pass mark in the final SSLC exam conducted by the Govt. on 2nd of April 2006 almost all of the students from the first batch got together.During this event many of the school teachers were felicitated. Several old students came from overseas as well to attend this funcion.They got together after 22 years. Now the school offers education for students up to class 12th[+2].

വഴിവക്കിലെ മരത്തില്‍ നിന്നും പൊഴിയുന്ന ഓരോ ഇലയും നോക്കിനില്‍ക്കെ മനസ്സിലോടിയെത്തിയത് ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ കോണിലെങ്ങോ മയങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്ന സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെയാണ്. എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോയ ഒരുപാട് സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍... വിദ്യാഭ്യാസമായിട്ടും ജോലിയായിട്ടും മറ്റുമൊക്കെ അകലങ്ങളിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവന്നവര്‍... ഒരു ഫോണ്‍ സംഭാഷണത്തിലും ആശംസാകാര്‍ഡുകളിലുമൊക്കെയായി ഒതുങ്ങുന്നവര്‍... പിന്നെയും വന്നു പുതിയ കൂട്ടുകാര്‍... തിരക്കിന...ിടയില്‍ സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയാതെയും, വിളിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കാതെയും അകന്നുപോയവര്‍... ഇലകള്‍ പൊഴിയും പോലെ... ഇല പൊഴിയും പോലെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ നിന്നും പൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോവുകയല്ലെ...................കാലവും ദൂരവും ജീവിതസാഹചര്യങ്ങളും നമ്മളെ വേ൪പെടുത്താ൯ ശ്രമിക്കുമ്പോളും
അതിനെയെല്ലാം അതിജീവിച്ച് നമ്മുടെ സൗഹൃദം മായാതെ മങ്ങാതെ നിലനില്ക്കണമെന്ന് ഞാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു

Attention please! SBI guidelines- : Bcoz of written Rupee note, Indian Govt. has Rs.2638 cr loss per year..plz don't write anything on Rupee Note bcoz they can't be used for std transactions..Eg u can't find written notes in ATM...plz paste it on ur status so that everyone become aware of the fact....a useful message is better than many jokes..! Please keep reposting it so that more people know abt it....
