The Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN) invites engineering college faculty members to participate in a 2-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Machine Learning, designed in alignment with the KTU syllabus.

This hands-on workshop is structured to strengthen both conceptual understanding and practical implementation of Machine Learning through guided laboratory sessions, making it ideal for faculty teaching ML and Data Science courses.

TECHIN of IIT Palakkad is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICARโ€“Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR-CTCRI), Thiruvananthapuram, during the 63rd Foundation Day Celebrations held on 27 July 2026.

The MoU was signed by Dr. G. Byju, Director, ICARโ€“Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR-CTCRI) and Shri. Midhu Unnithan, Chief Operating Officer, TECHIN, IIT Palakkad, in the presence of Shri. Minhaj Alam, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary & Agricultural Production Commissioner, Government of Kerala, and Shri. Subhash, IAS, Special Secretary (Agriculture), Government of Kerala. The MoU marks the commencement of a strategic collaboration aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, technology commercialization, startup incubation, capacity building, and research translation in areas of mutual interest, including AgriTech, FoodTech, and other emerging technologies.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to bridging research and innovation with entrepreneurship, creating new opportunities for startups, researchers, innovators, and industry to translate cutting-edge research into impactful technologies and sustainable ventures.

The TECHIN of IIT Palakkad, in collaboration with Rubfila International Ltd., successfully concluded the second batch of Samavesh 2.1 โ€“ Women Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), held from 22โ€“25 July 2026.

Over four enriching days, 42 women entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs from across Kerala participated in an immersive learning experience focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and business growth. The program featured expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, mentoring, and practical discussions covering key areas such as business planning, digital marketing, financial management, legal compliance, startup funding, and the innovation ecosystem.

The enthusiastic participation, engaging discussions, and collaborative learning throughout the program reflected the growing entrepreneurial spirit among women in the state. We sincerely thank our distinguished speakers, mentors, resource persons, and all participants for making the program a meaningful and impactful experience.

A special note of gratitude to Rubfila International Ltd. for their continued support in enabling this initiative through their CSR efforts and contributing to the advancement of women entrepreneurship.
