Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most popular festivals of India. It is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Lord Ganesha is known as the God of wisdom, good luck and remover of obstacles.

This festival is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm, especially in Maharashtra. People bring clay idols of Lord Ganesha to their homes, worship for 10 days and offer sweets like modak. On the last day, the idol is immersed in water.

This festival teaches us unity, devotion and joy. May Lord Ganesha bless us all with happiness and success.

*Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!*
