JKTF Budgam Holds Zonal Review Meeting in Soibugh: Focus on Core Issues and Strengthening Grassroots Unity

Budgam, July 19, 2025:
A pivotal and highly engaging meeting of the Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) was convened today at Zone Soibugh under the dynamic leadership of the District President JKTF Budgam, Mr. Naseer Ahmad Shah Sahab. The primary agenda of the meeting was to review the functioning of the Forum at the zonal level and to deliberate on pressing issues affecting the teaching community.

The meeting was graced by several senior leaders of JKTF, including Mr. Maqbool Beigh Sahab (UT Legal Advisor), Mr. Fida Hussain Sahab (UT Media Secretary), Mr. Nisar Ahmad Dar Sahab (Vice District President Budgam), Mr. Sukhbir Singh Sahab (District Media Secretary), Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan Sahab, Mr. Muneer Ahmad Shah Sahab, and Hafiz ullah Mir (Senior District Members).

The event saw the participation of the Zonal President Soibugh Mr. Hameed Sahab, the Vice Zonal President Soibugh, and a number of active Zonal delegates. The dignitaries were warmly received and felicitated with garlands by the Zonal body of Soibugh.

The meeting officially commenced with the permission of the District President and opened on a spiritual note with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the Vice Zonal President Soibugh, followed by a soulful Naat-e-Sharief by Mr. Maqbool Beigh Sahab. Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan, acting as the dais incharge, conducted the proceedings with great dignity.

In a fruitful discussion session, the Zonal President and delegates of Soibugh Zone put forward critical concerns being faced in schools, notably:

Improper rationalization of teachers

Dilapidated school infrastructure

Pending Mid-Day Meal liabilities

Streamlining of Supernumerary posts of SSA teachers

Non-availability of textbooks and various other operational challenges like delaying in time bound promotions.

These issues were patiently heard and duly noted by the district leadership for urgent redressal.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sukhbir Singh, District Media Secretary, encouraged the delegates to remain optimistic and united, emphasizing that solutions would follow through cooperation.

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Dar, Vice District President, reiterated the importance of unity and grassroots strength for effective resolution of grievances and called for nurturing leadership within the Forum to amplify the collective voice.

Mr. Maqbool Beigh, UT Legal Advisor, highlighted the need for loyalty towards the mission of JKTF, and urged all members to stand firmly with the leadership to advocate for the rights of the teaching fraternity.

Mr. Fida Hussain, the seasoned UT Media Secretary, inspired the gathering with his motivational address, urging teachers to serve with dedication in their schools while actively supporting the Forum's mission to eliminate systemic challenges.

In his concluding presidential address, Mr. Naseer Ahmad Shah, District President JKTF Budgam, thanked all dignitaries and delegates for their active participation. He emphasized that the Forum must become a strong, transparent, and vibrant force at the grassroots, committed to being the voice of the voiceless. He assured the timely resolution of all highlighted issues and directed the Zonal President to hold a follow-up meeting with the Zonal Education Officer Soibugh for localized problem-solving.

The meeting concluded on a positive and hopeful note with a vote of thanks presented by Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan on behalf of the Zonal President Soibugh, expressing deep gratitude to the leadership and participants for making the meeting a grand success.

Tribute to Mr. Altaf Hussain Sheikh (Senior Teacher at BHS Ompora) on His Superannuation.

Today marks a momentous occasion, a time to honor a man whose service, wisdom, and character have left a lasting imprint on every sphere he touched. Mr. Altaf Hussain Sheikh, a senior teacher and a deeply respected figure, now steps into retirement, carrying with him a legacy of dedication, dignity, and distinction.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Sheikh sahab has served with distinction in multiple capacities. As a senior teacher, he nurtured not just academic excellence, but also moral character and critical thinking among students. His classroom was a space where curiosity was encouraged, voices were respected, and knowledge was truly valued.

His contributions to the department were profound, marked by unwavering commitment, institutional discipline, and mentorship that helped shape the careers of countless students and fellow educators. His presence has been a pillar of stability and inspiration.

Notably, Mr. Sheikh sahab also served for several years as the District Cultural Coordinator for Budgam, where he made extraordinary contributions in promoting Kashmiri culture and instilling cultural awareness among the youth. Through hundreds of cultural events at the district and state level, he brought to light the rich heritage of the region, nurturing talent and creating a deep cultural consciousness. Thanks to his leadership, District Budgam rose to prominence across the state as a hub of cultural excellence.

In addition to his educational and cultural roles, Mr. Sheikh sahab has also been rendering crucial services as a Booth Level Officer (BLO) for the Election Commission of India. In this role, he has worked tirelessly and meticulously to maintain the electoral roll of his polling station, ensuring it remains accurate, updated, and error-free. His commitment to this civic duty reflects his broader dedication to democratic values and public responsibility.
Furthermore, Mr. Sheikh sahab has always been a voice for the voiceless, raising the concerns and struggles of BLOs before the District Administration, advocating for their rights, recognition, and welfare. A man of principles, he has led from the front, addressing the issues of the deprived and marginalized with courage, compassion, and a sense of justice.
Your work within the Forum also stands out, enriching discussions with thoughtful insights, encouraging collaboration, and pushing for collective growth with dignity and resolve.

Two-Day BLO Capacity Building Training Program Successfully Concludes at DC Office Budgam

Budgam, April 3, 2025 – A two-day Capacity Building Training Program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of 27-Budgam Assembly Constituency was successfully held on April 2nd and 3rd, 2025, at the Conference Hall, DC Office Budgam. The training program was conducted under the supervision of the District Election Team and aimed at enhancing the professional skills of BLOs for the effective ex*****on of their responsibilities.
The training was imparted by two distinguished national-level Master Trainers, Mr. Owais Mustaq (JKAS) and Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Bhat (Senior Officer). Their expertise and insightful guidance played a pivotal role in equipping the BLOs with the necessary knowledge and skills to discharge their duties with efficiency and professionalism.
During the training, participants were provided with in-depth knowledge about their roles, responsibilities, and best practices to ensure smooth electoral processes. The interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and real-life case studies shared by the Master Trainers greatly enhanced the learning experience for all attendees.
The training program proved to be a transformational experience for the participating BLOs, enabling them to refine their skills and perform their assignments with greater confidence and precision. The entire team of 27-Budgam Assembly Constituency BLOs expressed their deep appreciation for the exceptional training provided by the Master Trainers.
In the concluding session, an on-spot evaluation was conducted by the Master Trainers and the District Election Team. Through a structured questionnaire, the knowledge acquired by the BLOs during the training was assessed, ensuring that they had grasped the key aspects of their assignments. This evaluation further reinforced the importance of continuous learning and preparedness in executing their duties efficiently.

On behalf of all BLOs of 27-Budgam Assembly Constituency, I extend heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Owais Mustaq (JKAS) and Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Bhat for their outstanding contribution in imparting this invaluable training. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in strengthening the electoral process at the grassroots level.

*Zonal Education Office Budgam Organises zonal level flagship program on National Childrens Science Exhibition cm Seminar.*

Zonal Education Office Budgam under the patronage of worthy Zonal Education Officer Budgam Mtr. Suriya Kariem Organises Zonal Level Flagship program " *National Childrens Science Exhibition cm Seminar" under the title of Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RSBVP 2023-24)* based on five sub themes (Health, Lifestyle for Environment, Agriculture, Communication and Transport, and Computational Thinking) held at Boys Higher Secondary School Budgam.

The program was divided into two sessions. The first session was observed as the seminar entitled "Millets for Health and Sustainable Planet"
The second session was observed to scrutinize the modal projects/presentation prepared by the participants.

In the program, all the Higher Secondary schools and High schools "govt. cm private" of Zone Budgam were invited to take active participation.
The overall performance of the participant students was judged by the jury team, comprised of experienced, expert, and trained members, including

The program was officially started by *Zonal Nodal Officer Mr. Javid Ahmad Dar,* with deliberation about the program's objective, importance, and credibility.
Then, he was followed by a *veteran ,Zonal Cultural Coordinator, Mr. Nisar Ahmad Dar,* to welcome all the stakeholders presented in the hall. The special welcome was offered to worthy principal ma'am of the hosted school, Ms. Rajinder Kour, on being part of the program despite having her busy schedule at her office.
The worthy principal ma'am addressed the gathering with her remarkable speech and extend her gratitude to the students, es**rt teachers, and the schools where from students came.

Participant students exhibited unmatched talent during their presentations.
The jury team was impressed to see the extreme talent, caliber, and potential level of all the participants.

A series of awareness programmes were held under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program (SVEEP) in various schools and Sheikhul Alam Hall of the Budgam district.
The programmes were held on the directions of District Election Officer (DEO), Akshay Labroo and conducted under the supervision of District Nodal Officer SVEEP. During which awareness programmes and rallies were organized at Dc office Budgam.
Speaking about the ongoing SVEEP activities, the Zonal Nodel officer Nisar Ahmad Dar talking with Doordarshan News he urged the young voters to inspire their families, friends, relatives and neighbors for participating in the upcoming Lok sabah Elections with enthusiasm.
