Aswathapal High School was established in 1977 in Aswathapal village of Jajpur district, Odisha.The school has glorious past,present and also a future. First head master of school late Gunamani Rout who was a native of that village had contributed a lot to shape the school of its present form. Also the support from other teachers like Shri Surendra Chand, Shri Ganesh Chandra Rout, Shri Ajoy Kumar Sha, Shri Krushna Chandra Jena, Shri Laxmidhar Behera, Shri Prabhakar Pradhan, Shri Shatrughna Jena, Shri Gopinath Behera, and other staffs Shri Ramachandra Nandi, Shri Nakul Chanra Sha, Shri Jatitra Mahanty, Shri Nilamani Behera, and students from every batch were enoromous. The school has a boys' and a girls' hostel inside it. Although located in rural area the alumnis of the school built up themselves to very good positions in later time and are established in good organisations.
