✅ Successful Academic–Industry Interaction | NRES Domain, Amity University (11 Feb 2026)
Today, the NRES Domain at Amity University had the privilege of hosting Prof. Michael Gould, Global Education Manager, Esri, for an engaging academic interaction with faculty members, research scholars, and students.
The session provided valuable insights into:
• Emerging trends in geospatial technologies and digital transformation,
• The evolving role of GIS in natural resource management and sustainability, and
• Career pathways and industry expectations for students and early-career researchers in the geospatial and environmental domains.
We were also honoured by the presence of Mr. Dwaipayan Dighal (Vice President – Business Development, Esri India), whose address offered important perspectives on industry readiness, employability skills, and the relevance of industry–academia collaboration in building future-ready professionals.
The interactive discussion segment enabled students to directly engage with global and national leaders from Esri, making the session particularly impactful in terms of career guidance, research orientation, and practical exposure.
Such interactions play a crucial role in strengthening academia–industry linkages, aligning curriculum with industry needs, and preparing students for meaningful careers in the geospatial and sustainability sectors.
