I recently had the opportunity to speak with Surbhi Pathak from CNN-News18 about my journey as an artist. It was a reflective conversation, looking back from my growing years in the Himalayan town of Nainital, where my love for nature first took root, to my work today exploring the fragile relationship between human development and the natural world through sculpture, ceramics, and painting.

Actor Sourabh Raaj Jain enrolled for a four-month pottery journey at Wildfern Pottery Studio September to December, 2023. During this time, he was interviewed by The Times of India for their special Diwali edition.

It was a privilege to guide him through the process of working with clay, a reminder that no matter how visible one’s profession may be, the earth humbles and grounds us all.

Standing by an outdoor ceramic installation along the Chao Phraya,
I find myself reflecting on fragility, time, and what we choose to leave behind.
Across the water, Wat Arun (the Temple of Dawn), reminds me that some things endure, even as everything else slowly changes.
