πβ¨ Reading Club at Little Bookshelf β¨π
Our young readers recently journeyed into the imaginative world of The Magic Finger by Roald Dahl β a story that teaches the importance of empathy, kindness, and understanding othersβ feelings.
To conclude the book, the children engaged in a series of creative and reflective activities that helped them connect deeply with the story. From drawing their favorite scenes and sequencing the storyline, to making a comic strip of the book, writing thoughtful reflections, and discussing the emotions of the characters β every activity encouraged them to think, imagine, and express themselves freely.
They even pledged to be more empathetic towards plants and animals around them, beautifully reflecting the values the story inspires π±π¦π
These sessions are more than just reading; they are about building confidence, creativity, and communication skills in a joyful and supportive environment. Not just reading, but developing listening skills, comprehension, creative writing through guided prompts, imagination, and emotional intelligence β all in one magical space β¨
Watching our little readers bring stories to life through their ideas and artwork is truly magical!
π At Little Bookshelf, we believe that every story is an opportunity for a child to grow, learn, and discover the power of their imagination.
