🌍✨ World Tourism Day Celebration 2026 | The Hotel School ✨🌍

This World Tourism Day, students of The Hotel School stepped beyond the classroom to experience tourism first-hand through a field-based learning activity at India Gate, Delhi.

As part of their “Tourist Interaction and Responsible Tourism – A Field Study of Delhi” assignment, students interacted with real tourists, understood their travel experiences and expectations, and observed the destination from a traveller’s perspective.

The activity encouraged students to:
🗣️ Build confidence through meaningful conversations with tourists
🤝 Practise professional and respectful tourist interaction
🌏 Understand different cultures, travel motivations and visitor expectations
📍 Observe tourist facilities, cleanliness, accessibility, safety and destination management
♻️ Create awareness about responsible and sustainable tourism
💡 Identify challenges and suggest practical ways to improve the tourist experience

Most importantly, students learn by doing—developing communication, hospitality, observation, teamwork, cultural awareness and professional etiquette in a real tourism environment. The assignment also encouraged them to reflect on their experiences and connect classroom concepts with actual tourism practices.
