In this lesson, you’ll learn about how what you expect will happen, and how important it is to expect the best without preconceived notions about the future. You’ll also discover the 3 building blocks that help you create the reality you’ve always wanted using a dormant power you haven’t tapped into yet.
How to Identify the Dormant Power of Expectancy Desire is Not Lack…
“What you want, you cannot have.”
Have you ever heard that phrase? It doesn’t mean what you might think it does. The phrase certainly doesn’t mean that you can’t manifest all your desires.
In lesson 8, you’ll experience desire from a different point of view…from a place of abundance and hopefulness, not from a place of lack and frustration. Get ready to see how to…
Use your desire to propel yourself forward, so that you can manifest your vision.
Expect the best, so that your actions correspond with your goals.
Implement the “3 Fuels” that build the world you wish to create, so that you will have constant inspiration.
Learn to Desire from an Abundant Place
As we begin this lesson, think about the phrase mentioned at the top of this page…
“What you want, you can’t have.”
The message tells you one thing…
When you want something, it’s because that thing is not part of your reality. The trouble is that people mis-classify their desires as a byproduct of lack. When you think “I don’t have this…”
You send conflicting thoughts, and the steps you take toward true happiness cancel one another out. The subconscious mind is a powerful thing, and when you send a signal of lack…
That’s when the subconscious mind ensures that your thinking becomes reality. Remember back to the first lesson when you learned that what you think about you bring about?
Your subconscious mind reacts based on feelings, not what you tell it directly. In this lesson, you will see how to control your thinking, and expect the goodness that will come your way with creative vitalization.
When you feel that you lack something, it creates confusion. The Universe will respond to your feelings. If your feelings come from a place of lack, that’s what the universe will provide.
The Internal Battle, and How to Win it
Inside your mind, there’s a battle brewing.
This conflict happens between what you actually want, and what you tell your subconscious that you can have. This comes from a place of lack, not from a place of desire.
On one hand, you tell yourself that your vision and affirmations belong to you.
On the other hand, you risk contradicting your ambitions by coming from a place of lack. Instead of “I will achieve this,” your thinking becomes “I don’t have this.”
And therein lies the internal battle…
Which side should the universe respond to? The fact is that the universe will build your reality based on your feelings, not your words.
When you introduce a want or need as lack, the signals get fuzzy. The universe will not understand what it is that you want.
The Law of Non-Attachment
The law of non-attachment?
This does not mean that you don’t desire something completely worthwhile. More so, the law of non-attachment does not mean that you don’t care about what you want.
The law of non-attachment means simply this…
You are always aware that you are the creator of your reality, and that whatever you want is coming to you. Non-attachment enables you to go beyond the belief stage and into the expectancy stage…
Which allows your brightest future to take shape.
In the science of creative visualization, belief is a core element, as you already know. But really, belief is more than an affirmation. It’s more than something you wish for…
Belief is something you accept as truth. And you can’t expect something to happen, if you don’t belief it will.
The Solution is Expectancy…
People who have mastered the science of creative visualization do one thing: they expect amazing things to happen without question or doubt. It goes beyond what’s possible, and becomes what’s definite.
If you expect an amazing existence, you will have it. If you expect to fail at your dreams, then failure becomes your destiny.
With the science of creative visualization, you always maintain control over how you live your life, and what will happen. Your ideal life is not just possible. It’s only a matter of time before the manifestation of your biggest goal.
When you expect to receive the dish you ordered at a cafe, it comes within time. And the same principle applies in the science of creative visualization.
Even though you can’t see your reality yet in the physical space, you know that it’s coming to you.
When you know that something is already yours, that’s when you send the feeling of lack out of your life.
There is one reason that expectancy is so important to get what you want. The fact is that what you expect will always come true. The feelings and thoughts you have become commands that your subconscious listens to and reacts to.
So expect what you desire, and you will manifest it without canceling out what you ordered from the universe.
Expect Your Way toward Manifestation
The Only Way Expectancy Causes Failure
The past is never an indicator of the future, not when you practice the science of creative visualization.
Here’s an example: let’s say you expected a person you wanted to date to say no…
Did they say no?
The same thing happens when you think your particular dream is too far-fetched, impossible, or worse, that you don’t deserve it. Expectancy equals manifest destiny…
So if you’ve had negative expectancy in the past, now is the time to recalibrate your thinking about what will happen. If you will it, it is no dream. If you expect an excellent life, that’s exactly what will happen.
Remember that what you expect is based on your beliefs, which you know are the truth.
Outside Influences on Expectancy
What you expect does not always come from yourself. Other people and circumstances influence how you view the world, and what you expect to get from it.
If you’ve been told that New York City is a dangerous place filled with rude people, and that becomes your expectation, that will be your experience when you visit. You will unconsciously put yourself in a place that attracts negativity.
Here’s a great example from a study by Robert Rosenthal, a psychologist at the University of California Riverside.
If you are a teacher, and you expect your pupils to be lazy and disrespectful, that reality will manifest, because you will unconsciously treat them that way.
But if you expect students to be curious, driven, and hardworking, they will rise to the occasion.
The power of this expectation was demonstrated in Rosenthal’s study. At the end of the Rosenthal’s experiment a miraculous truth about the power of expectancy came to light.
The teacher in the study expected the students to succeed, instead of subconsciously setting them up for failure. When the teacher actively expected her students to do well, they did.
Here’s how this creative visualization worked…
During the experiment, teachers were told that certain students had been identified as children who would get good grades and help promote a pleasant classroom environment.
The teachers were instructed NOT to give these children any special treatment. And even though the teachers gave the students no more active attention than other class members…
The teachers did in fact subconsciously encourage the children with more smiles, positive feedback, and personal time. This is called the Pygmalion Effect, which correctly asserts…
Expectancy is always a self-fulfilling prophecy.
What happened when the teacher spent more positive energy on her students? The kids got much better grades! And that happened because the teacher expected them to.
Expectancy in Action
So far you’ve learned that your subconscious will alter your behavior to correspond with your expectation.
The problem is, many people have learned to expect the worst. And then when it happens, they say, “See? I told you so.” But if you change your expectations, you change the outcome.
Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart, is an excellent example of how expecting the best creates the best.
Wal-Mart has created over 2 million jobs in the US alone. Of his success Walton said, “I go into every situation expecting to win. Thinking like this often turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy.”
Even if it seems difficult at first, you can learn how to create positive expectancy. If you’re used to pessimism, begin with small steps. Each small manifestation you create ramps up your positive expectancy.
After that, it’s all upward momentum.
The Three Fuels of Creative Visualization
In any manifestation, three fuels are necessary – desire, belief, and expectancy. These are the tools you use to build your desires.
These 3 “Fuels” work in harmony with one another. Whatever achievement you want to manifest through creative visualization, use these 3 elements to build the life you want.
As you implement creative visualization into your life, and move closer and closer to the reality desire, follow this 3-part code to expect the best and achieve the best.
You must desire something very much. This is a heartfelt desire, not a minor life upgrade. This desire must encompass everything you want.
You must believe that your dreams will manifest without questioning, doubt, or hesitance.
You must expect greatness to happen to you…as you design it and command it! If you practice positive expectancy, want never becomes lack.
When you use all three, you bypass lack desires, and you change your beliefs. When you change your beliefs, the universe bends to you desires.
As this lesson comes to an end, think about what you expect now. If you expect your life not to turn out like you want it to, then the path to the manifestation of your visions will become blocked.
To overcome the hurdle, consider the essential lessons you just learned. Think about how…
Abundant desire moves you forward, and lack desire holds you back.
Your actions match with your ...
