"We want to clarify that the Indian Medical Association (IMA) holds no opposition towards Ayurveda or Yoga. We deeply respect these practices and fully acknowledge the rich traditions and knowledge of India.

Our concerns primarily arise from the spread of misinformation against modern medicine and the inappropriate remarks made by Baba Ramdev during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The IMA advocates for evidence-based medicine and supports products that are backed by thorough research.
Additionally, it is important to note that the pricing of medical products and services is not within the control of doctors; it is the responsibility of government authorities to regulate quality and pricing.

Doctors play no role in these aspects and focus solely on patient care."
