Yes autoimmune diseases DO NOT mean just joint pains.
Fear not! If you or someone you know has these types of complaints, you may need to seek out a Rheumatologist.

Arthritis doesnot limit to knees or hands. It can start off in spine as low back ache or neck pain which is Inflammatory back pain !!
Consult Rheumatologist at the earliest..
