Last update from base camp, Nandigodu. Children, teachers and couple of our instructors have boarded the train back home to Bangalore. This has once again been an awe inspiring course for us. Parents, management and children of Chrysalis High we say a big Thank You.

Today's update. Children by now have a fair understanding on what sustainable living involves. After having spent the first half of the day, surveying the nearby hamlets around Nandigodu meeting local farmers to understand renewable and non-renewable sources of energy, they are now packing their bags. Badge ceremony will commence in a while.

And we are as always curious to know what the children and teachers of Chrysalis High have to share as feedback with us.

The best day on course has been today!
Good evening parents. Children experienced 'water' as a medium. Swam in the backwaters of the Sharavathy. Moved on to some Physics to learn 'friction' concept with the aid of high rope course. And did we mention, they made simple machines too, to best understand the concept! It was a day packed with hands-on, fun learning time.

Good evening parents. Update you've been waiting for. After spending the morning hours doing land work with local farmers, children are now brimming with knowledge on the region's farming practices.
This was followed by a session with our Herpetologist and they got to experience couple of live cobras and green vine snakes. Fear not!! They were very excited to be around the creepy crawlies :)
Down-time right now. Followed by dinner. 'Twilight Delight' and lights off!

Good morning Parents. Children have reached base camp after their night out. Gearing up for the day's activity - FARMING. What better real and absolutely practical way to learn about our country's most common occupation: Agriculture.
We'll be working together to understand the history of farming in the Ghats, its various patterns, crops, get an indepth knowledge on weather, climate influences, rainfall connect with the guidance of local farmers and finally prepare an agri map of the area. All this on a typical day in the ghats. Its cloudy and simply beautiful.

Day one...of distance and direction successful. After navigating through ways unknown..the children reached their destinations. After a shirt rest, got into doing camp cooking to feed themselves for the night. Peaceful rest after a long tiring and eventful day.

Good morning parents. Update from base camp at Nandigodu. Children and teachers preparing for the day-long activity.
Today's highlight: Direction and Distance through the learning aid of map and compass navigation.
As they have a hearty breakfast, eagerness to start and head for the night out is on an all time high.

As we begin our second course with 5, 6 and 7th Graders of Chrysalis High, we are toying with one question. Who is more excited, eager and enthusiastic? The children? Or us? Parents, children are all safe and have boarded the train to Sagar. Their energy is infectious..and we're all geared for the course.

Hello parents..after a very emotional badge ceremony...the children, teachers of Chrysalis High have left Nandigodu. Boarded the train back to Bangalore.

Your children have taken precious memories along...and we have with us extremely fond experiences which will take us a long way! Your children have been truly beautiful!
