At Blossoms preschool, we are applying ‘bioclimatic design principles’ to our planning strategies & infrastructure - as we integrate & intentionally teach sustainability & sustainable ways of living to young children as part of our experiential curriculum


In today’s article in The Hindu titled ‘Heatwaves are evaporating the right to play’, the team from Young Leaders for Active Citizenship highlight the grave challenges of climate change & its impact on ‘limiting the time children get to engage with their peers and the world around them through play’ adversely affecting ‘children’s physical and cognitive development’


With a goal of addressing root causes, all organic waste matter is composted within our premises to prepare soil & plant expansive green spaces within and around campus, engaging young children in ‘local initiatives around climate’ while encouraging them to become the ‘powerful champions of change’

As young children engage in role play, they tap into their imagination and creativity deepening their conceptual understandings


Role play also enables the development of socio-emotional skills especially the key competency of empathy
