Domestic violence is a global menace and does not have a single definition to describe itself. There are several reasons behind this grave violence against women. This issue is not only geographically dispersed but also widespread, making it a widely accepted practice. Domestic violence is widespread and deeply embedded, with severe consequences for women's health and well-being. Its continued presence is morally unacceptable. It comes at a cost to individuals, healthcare systems, and the social world at large.

The main aim and objective of this research paper are to delineate the prevalence of various forms of domestic violence in the 21st century, the reasons behind this problem, analyze the data, and suggest some legal measures to deal with it. Domestic violence requires a collaborative effort from law enforcement, social welfare, and health care services. Despite attempts in this direction, the attended cases are indeed the tip of the glacier, as most of these cases do not get reported due to pressure from family members or the social stigma of mud-slinging. The genuine difference in such cases can only be accomplished by altering society's mindset through education and better law enforcement.

Long gone are the days where a piece of paper had more importance than a device. Even to make simple notes, people tend to use mobile phones more than their notepads or copies. The advancement of the technologies that the human civilisation has done to save their time and increase their efficiencies has also made them depend on those, like the computers, internet, etc.

Amongst all the advancements, people have become mostly dependent on the Internet. The internet has made everyone exposed to the big world where they can interact with people irrespective of the nation borders and differences. This has led to a global community in which people all over the world share their views and ideas. This exposure has been enjoyed by not only the citizens but also the State. Such exposure of the nations in the Internet has made it impossible for them to run their lives and functions without the usage of the computers, the cyber-space, etc, on an ordinary day.
