Poorvi VIII, the NCERT textbook for English, has been rolled out!
Feeling grateful and proud to see my name in the textbook development team. Its been an ongoing process - Poorvi VI and VII.
Working on Poorvi VIII has once again been an incredible journey , including the process of crafting meaningful and engaging learning experiences for students across the country.
Creating tasks, mapping them to Competencies and Learning Outcomes from NCF-SE English R2, and aligning them with real-world learning was both a challenge and a deeply fulfilling experience.
This book reflects months of collaboration, reflection, and a shared commitment to quality education. Here’s to nurturing curious minds and joyful learning!

Accountability is a shared journey, and I’d love to support you in bringing these lessons to your classrooms.
I have to say that every aspect of these books reflects my commitment to making learning engaging and meaningful:
a) Ample opportunities for learners to discover how to learn.
b) Contextualised texts incorporated
c) Seamless integration of critical and creative thinking, life skills, and real-world connections.
These ELT textbooks are designed to be learner-centric, classroom-friendly, and transformative.
It’s deeply gratifying to see these books come to life, and I’m immensely grateful to the editorial team and Headword for their invaluable support.
Let’s make learning extraordinary, together! God bless the teachers.
Dear Teachers of English CBSE IV- XII
Teaching Listening Skills (active, multi-dimensional skill) requires more than just exposure to an audio clip followed by a worksheet.
It is the most effective when integrated with other skills. Executing it in the ELT classroom is best done by understanding related principles.
Being informed helps make the learning robust. So, more power to all of you.

As the author of the New English Spring (VI-VIII) , I was invited to conduct a teacher training workshop by the Headword Publishing Company, for teachers from several schools of West Delhi and Dwarka.
The topic , ' Innovative Pedagogical Practices in the ELT Classroom' at Maxfort School , Dwarka, Delhi.
How do I know that learning happened? The teacher response, feedback and all the warm hugs! The teachers were truly interactive and asked questions that propelled the learning in this session.
