Dept. of Mechanical Engineering is super excited to share that team of our students, Arshnoor Kaur, Drishti, Jessica Pal and Ankita made AI model "mart Dustbin Model" and won 2nd position at Khalsa College tech fest 2026.

Project was inspired by a simple problem we see every day—unclean surroundings due to improper waste disposal. So, we designed a smart dustbin that opens automatically using sensors, helping people avoid touching it and encouraging better hygiene. It’s not just about convenience, but also about promoting cleanliness and a smarter way of living.

From idea to ex*****on, this journey had challenges—coding, wiring, fixing errors—but teamwork and dedication made it possible

Department of Mechanical Engineering just wrapped up an intensive Drone & UAV Workshop titled “Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV/Drones) in Agronomic Practices" at GNDU, Amritsar. It was a pure hands-on engineering, moving from theory to the flight line. Students mastered UAV Technology (The architecture of modern flight), Firmware & Flashing (Deep-diving into the "brains" of the drone), Configuration & Calibration (Precision tuning for ultimate stability), Drone Flying (Putting our builds to the test in the open air)
