3-Al-Mustafa (ٱلْمُصْطَفَى)
Meaning: “The Chosen One”
The name Al-Muṣṭafā (المُصْطَفَى) — “The Chosen One” — is one of the most spiritually profound and beautiful titles of Syyidee Rasool Allaah ﷺ.
🌿 1. Linguistic Root and Meaning
• Al-Muṣṭafā comes from the Arabic root ص ف و (ṣ–f–w), which means:
• to purify, to select, to refine, to elevate the finest from among others.
• The verb iṣṭafā (اصطفى) means: to choose with love, purity, and favor, not arbitrarily — but after deep distinction, cleansing, and elevation.
So, “Al-Muṣṭafā” literally means:
➡️ The one who has been lovingly chosen and purified by Allah from among all creation
Allah chose Rasulullah ﷺ for the greatest mission – guiding humanity. Let us honor this by living with gratitude and responsibility as his Ummah.
