United World Child Enrichment Centre

United World Child Enrichment Centre The UWCEC team encourages the young ones socially, emotionally and intellectually. Going to Pre School is ‘A small step for a giant exposure in a child’s life’.

This is the first exercise in which children are separated from the comfort and secure zone of their parents. Therefore, it has to be a place which is a second home to the child; a place, which has enough material to make the child feel comfortable and secure. This is the first place where the child builds his/her self-esteem. A child learns the importance of his own name, things and friends. Ever

y child learns to communicate with his teachers and fellow students in the Pre School. It is the right place for the child’s foundation for lifelong progress. The skills and knowledge that the child develops in the Pre School have a great impact on the aptitude and attitude of the child later in life. At United World Child Enrichment Centre (UWCEC), we subscribe to a unique education approach that combines various practices, disciplines and beliefs into one seamless culture. It provides our children with a creative environment that engages them with holistic curriculum, with the guidance of progressive teachers. Every child at UWCEC is encouraged to become a thinker, a caring person, a risk-taker, an inquirer, an open-minded person, and above all, a life-long learner. UWCEC provides a safe, nurturing and educational environment, in which all children are provided the opportunity to grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually, supporting children to become creative, confident and independent learners and to grow up to learn, laugh and love.

Pattern Tracing: A Step Towards Writing at UWCEC

At UWCEC, our little Jr. Kg, learners began their exciting writing journey through fun and engaging pattern tracing activities. Children explored standing lines, sleeping lines, slanting lines, and curves using sand, water, crayons, and pencils, making learning both enjoyable and meaningful.
These hands-on experiences helped develop fine motor skills, pencil control, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and confidence—all essential for early writing. As they practised regularly, our young learners progressed from tracing patterns to writing them independently with greater accuracy and confidence.
Every line they traced brought them one step closer to becoming confident writers, while laying a strong foundation for future learning in both literacy and mathematics.
Small hands, steady strokes, and big milestones—one pattern at a time!

Finding Our “Place” in the world at UWCEC
Learning positional words is an important step in a child's early development, helping them understand where people and objects are located in relation to one another. Concepts such as in, out, above, below, left, right, top, bottom, and middle strengthen observation, listening, communication, and early mathematical and literacy skills.
At UWCEC, our young learners explored these concepts through exciting hands-on activities using toys, blocks, chairs, balls, and other classroom materials. They enthusiastically completed worksheets and enjoyed a fun-filled Direction Game, where they followed simple instructions while applying their understanding of different positions.
Through play-based learning and real-life experiences, children gradually built confidence in identifying and using positional words in their daily conversations and classroom activities. These engaging experiences not only made learning enjoyable but also enhanced their ability to follow directions, think critically, and interact confidently with the world around them.
At UWCEC, we believe that the best learning happens when children explore, play, and discover—turning every activity into a joyful learning experience.
