The III ANDSU Football Cup 2026, organized by the All Namsai District Students' Union (ANDSU) under the theme "Kick Off for Nature: Football for a Greener Tomorrow," witnessed an enthralling second semi-final as NAYSA FC locked horns with Rani Football Club for the final berth in the championship decider.

Both sides entered the contest with impressive runs in the tournament, but it was NAYSA FC that dictated proceedings with disciplined defending, fluid attacking play, and clinical finishing. Displaying composure throughout the match, NAYSA FC secured a convincing 3–0 victory, earning a place in the Grand Final.

For his exceptional performance and pivotal role in the victory, Damli Bomnyo was deservedly adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM). He was presented with a bicycle, generously sponsored by Shri Chowkya Tayang, Auditor (East), All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU).

With the conclusion of the semi-finals, the stage is now set for the much-anticipated Grand Final between Mao P*e Sporting Club and NAYSA FC, scheduled to be played on Saturday, 26th July 2026, at APIL Field, Namsai.

The All Namsai District Students' Union extends its heartfelt congratulations to NAYSA FC on their qualification to the final and commends Rani Football Club for their commendable campaign and exemplary sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

The Organizing Committee also expresses its sincere gratitude to Shri Chowkya Tayang for sponsoring the Player of the Match award and for his continued encouragement towards the promotion of football among the youth.

The III ANDSU Football Cup 2026, organized by the All Namsai District Students' Union (ANDSU) under the theme "Kick Off for Nature: Football for a Greener Tomorrow," witnessed an electrifying first semi-final as Mao P*e Sporting Club took on 1st Hope Foundation Football Club in what proved to be one of the most captivating matches of the tournament.

The contest lived up to every expectation, with both teams displaying exceptional determination, attacking football, and resilience. From the opening whistle, Hope Foundation FC dominated proceedings, dictating the tempo of the game with relentless pressing and fluid attacking movements. Their disciplined performance left Mao P*e Sporting Club with little room to settle into the match.
After creating a series of opportunities, Hope Foundation FC finally broke the deadlock with just thirteen minutes remaining in regulation time, taking a deserved 1–0 lead and putting one foot in the final.
However, champions are often defined by their response under pressure, and Mao P*e Sporting Club demonstrated exactly that. Showing remarkable composure and fighting spirit, they restored parity within a matter of minutes before launching an extraordinary attacking display. Capitalizing on the momentum, Mao P*e added three more goals in quick succession to turn the contest on its head and establish a commanding 4–1 lead.
Despite the setback, Hope Foundation FC continued to battle until the final whistle and managed to pull one goal back during stoppage time, bringing the final score to 4–2.
With this impressive comeback victory, Mao P*e Sporting Club became the first team to qualify for the Grand Final of the III ANDSU Football Cup 2026.
For his outstanding all-round performance, Mr. Olik Tayeng was deservedly adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM) after contributing one goal and two assists, playing a decisive role in his team's remarkable comeback. He was presented with a bicycle, generously sponsored by Chau Kongkham Chakhap, Former Executive Member, All Namsai District Students' Union.
The All Namsai District Students' Union congratulates Mao P*e Sporting Club on securing their place in the final and commends Hope Foundation Football Club for their spirited performance throughout the tournament.

The third quarter-final featured an exciting contest between Rani Football Club and Hornbill Arrows Sporting Club (HASC). Both teams displayed great determination and attacking football, but it was Rani FC that emerged victorious with a 2–1 win, securing their place in the semi-finals.

For his outstanding contribution to the victory, Tapai Tari was adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM) and was presented with a bicycle, generously sponsored by Chau Suphita Manjeykhyn, General Secretary, All Tai Khamti Singpho Students' Union (ATKSSU).

The final quarter-final saw NAYSA FC produce a dominant performance against Friends FC, registering a convincing 11–1 victory to book the final berth in the semi-finals, where they will face Rani FC.

The opening fixture produced one of the most dramatic encounters of the tournament. All Nanam Kungyao Sengsap Youth Association staged a sensational comeback after trailing 4–1 to Rani Football Club, fighting back to level the score at 4–4 by the end of regulation time. However, in the ensuing penalty shootout, Rani FC held their composure to secure a 5–3 victory, earning a place in the quarter-finals.

For his outstanding performance, Karsing Yaring of Rani FC was adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM). He was presented with a bicycle, generously sponsored by Chau Khammoon Manpoong, Former Executive Member, All Tai Khamti Singpho Students' Union (ATKSSU).
The second fixture witnessed Hornbill Arrows Sporting Club overcome Sunpura Football Club with an impressive 4–1 victory to progress to the next round. Amit Thakuriya delivered an exceptional performance and was deservedly named the Player of the Match.

Matchday 8

The tournament entered the Quarter-final stage, with the opening match featuring Mao P*e Sporting Club against Young Tangsa Football Club. Mao P*e Sporting Club produced a commanding display, registering a resounding 9–0 victory to become the first team to book a place in the semi-finals.
For his influential performance, Gyamar Nikum was adjudged the Player of the Match and received a bicycle, generously sponsored by Shri Chau Suphita Manjeykhyn, General Secretary, All Tai Khamti Singpho Students' Union (ATKSSU).

The second quarter-final saw 1st Hope Foundation Football Club continue their impressive campaign by defeating All Piyong Circle Youth Association 5–2, securing their place in the semi-finals. Continuing his remarkable form, Pranjal Bhumij once again claimed the Player of the Match award—his third of the tournament—following another outstanding performance. He was presented with a bicycle, also generously sponsored by Shri Chau Suphita Manjeykhyn, General Secretary, All Tai Khamti Singpho Students' Union (ATKSSU).

The All Namsai District Students' Union extends its heartfelt appreciation to all the sponsors for recognizing outstanding individual performances and encouraging young footballers throughout the tournament.
