Degree College Haripurdhar has proved out to be a blessing bestowed upon the people of surrounding areas of District Sirmaur and Shimla, who hitherto, didn’t have an easy access to higher education. It is precisely due to this reason that there has been a steady but significant increase in the enrolment as well as passing out rate since its inception in 2011. The college can now boast of its own c
ampus which is likely to be ready by the beginning of the new session in July-2016.A complete new world of facilities and world class infrastructure awaits the students in the new campus. The new college campus will be bejewelled with state of art facilities at par with the colleges in nearby towns and cities, a clear manifestation of the aims of RUSA in providing quality education to “one and all” irrespective of the geographical or social limitations or disparities. The construction of Multi Purpose Hall and Development of Playground has been undertaken under the funds provided by RUSA. The college has already initiated the process of construction of Multi Purpose Hall though HPPWD. The Multi Purpose Hall would encompass facilities like: Canteen, Girls Common Room, Gymnasium, IT Lab. College playground, once developed, would host a rainbow of games and sports activities to bring cheer and adventure in the life of the students. To keep pace with the latest technology, facilities like WiFi , IT Laboratory and other modern teaching aids like : Blue Ray CD player, OHP, Quality Sound System and ICT enabled teaching-learning systems await the students as a part of the quality education system. The college offers UG programme in following subjects of Arts stream: English, History, Political Science, Sociology, Hindi and Physical Education. The dedicated and highly motivated faculty of the college earnestly endeavours to make the process of learning, an adventure as well as an enriching experience.
