On 17.12.2025, the First Aid Committee of Government Degree College (GDC), Haripurdhar successfully organised a First Aid Mock Drill with the objective of creating awareness among students about basic first aid practices and emergency response. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sarita Thakur, Convener of the First Aid Committee, who explained the motive and importance of the first aid mock drill. She highlighted how timely and correct first aid can help prevent complications, reduce the severity of injuries, and even save lives during emergencies. Practical demonstrations were given on how to properly cover and bandage injured parts, control bleeding, and manage minor injuries effectively. The mock drill helped students understand the correct techniques to be followed during emergency situations.

राजकीय महाविद्यालय हरिपुरधार में रोड सेफ्टी क्लब ने सड़क सुरक्षा को लेकर विभिन्न जागरूकता गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत नारा लेखन, पोस्टर मेकिंग प्रतियोगिता तथा नाटक (स्किट) का आयोजन किया गया। छात्र-छात्राओं ने सड़क सुरक्षा नियमों, हेलमेट एवं सीट बेल्ट के महत्व, यातायात संकेतों एवं सुरक्षित ड्राइविंग से संबंधित संदेशों को रचनात्मक ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया।

A session on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) was organised on
16-12-2025 by the NSS Unit of GDC Haripurdhar, in collaboration with
the Women Development Cell, to commemorate Sexual Harassment Prevention Week. The
session was specifically conducted for the women employees of the institution with the objective
of spreading awareness about the provisions of the POSH Act and ensuring a safe and respectful
workplace environment.

Students from GDC Haripurdhar went on an educational trip to Hatkoti temple Distt Shimla on 12 December 2025. The Department of History organised the visit to enhance students’ understanding of local heritage and temple architecture.

The Career Counselling and Placement Cell, in collaboration with the Department of English,
Government Degree College Haripurdhar, organised a two-day Photo Exhibition on 24 November and 25 November. The event aimed to introduce students and the local community to
the art of photography and create awareness about career possibilities in this field. The exhibition featured the works of renowned photographers Dr. Arun Gaur and Mrs. Shelika Gaur. Dr. Arun Gaur is a retired Associate Professor of English from SD College Chandigarh and a former Senior Reader at the Central University of Mizoram, Aizawl. An avid traveller, he
continues to explore different regions of India after retirement, capturing photographs along with his wife and exhibiting them in various colleges across the country. Students and staff from adopted schools—GSSS Haripurdhar, GSSS Diuri Kharahan and GPCS Haripurdhar—visited the exhibition. Members of the Parent Teacher Association, Old Students’ Association and the Maa Bhangayani Social Work Community, along with other residents of the region, also attended the exhibition.

The NSS Unit of the institution, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science,
observed Constitution Day on 26 November 2025 to commemorate the adoption of the
Constitution of India and to sensitise students about its core values. The programme aimed at
reinforcing among students the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity, and at nurturing
responsible and informed citizens.
