St. Joseph’s Convent Sr. Sec. School Clinches Bronze at State Throwball Championship
Students of St. Joseph’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Fetri from Nagpur District, secured the 3rd Place and won bronze medals at the 3rd Senior State Throwball Championship 2025 in both the U-14 and U-17 Girl’s categories. The tournament was held from 21st to 23rd November at the Taluka Sports Complex, CIDCO, New Nanded.
Organised by the Nanded Throwball Association under the Maharashtra Throwball Association (Reg.) and affiliated to the Throwball Federation of India, the championship witnessed enthusiastic participation of 21 teams from across the state.
The achievement is being widely celebrated at the school, with special appreciation for Principal Sr. Claudia Mendes, whose constant encouragement, disciplined training environment, and strong support system have played a pivotal role in shaping young sports talents. Her commitment to promoting sports and holistic development is recognised as a key driving force behind the team’s success.
Coach Mrs. Shalini Harsulkar, U-17 Captain Khanak Anil Patidar, and U-14 Captain Shreyasi Swapnil Bhalerao also contributed significantly to the team’s preparedness, performance, and overall spirit. The school community proudly congratulates the students.
Plantation Day was joy in our kindergarten. The children brought seeds of ladyfinger, chilli Fenugreek to sow in the farm. Children participated eagerly in planting them in the school garden. Teachers explained the importance of trees and how they help keep our environment clean and healthy. The little ones enjoyed digging the soil, sowing the seeds, and learning how to care for them. songs and fun activities, they understood the value of nature and the need to protect it. A Quiz Competition was organized at St. Joseph's Convent on 2 nd August in the school auditorium by the Heritage Club for the students of Class 8 and 9 with the objective of promoting intellectual curiosity and fostering a spirit of healthy competition among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all the four houses.
The competition was conducted in three rounds – General Round, Choice based round and buzzer round, where the quickest could only answer. The question ranged from history, geography and polity of India.A total of four participants from each house participated in the event.After an intense and closely contested battle of wits, Red House emerged as the winner.

On 11th July 2025, Fancy Dress Competition was being held for Classes 3rd to 5th Grade.The topic of the Fancy Dress Competition was "VAN MAHOTSAV " - "Celebrating Nature, Creativity and the Spirit of Conservation". There was a great enthusiasm among the students who participated . They all did their part very well. Also the non participating students enjoyed every part and learnt new things. 35 students participated from class 3rd, 24 students participated from class 4th and 20 students participated from class 5th. We were honored to have Sir Drupal, Ma'am Ujjwala Titare and Ma'am Roshni Khobragade as the judges for the competition. Class 5th students hosted the program and after the competition was over, Sister Priyanka shared a few thoughts on the importance of Nature around us and how we need to be friends with the nature and care for the Nature Earth. Later, the results were announced by the judges. Students cheered and were very happy for their friends and congratulated them.

Novena: Day 7 Virtue: Gratitude
Today was the Seventh Day of Novena to St. Joseph, Patron of the school.
The prayerwith garlanding the statue of St. Joseph and lightning of the candles by Aunty, Bhaiya and Sister Manisha (Nurse) seeking the blessings of our Patron Saint.
The students of Cour hearts as they led us in exploring the virtue of gratitude through their beautiful action song.The ceremony concluded with the Principal encouraging the children to show gratitude and be thankful in the smallest of blessings. Cultivate a spirit of gratitude in our lives, honoring St. Joseph's legacy of thankfulness.🍁💫
On March 12, the students of Class 7 conducted a heartfelt assembly in honor of St. Joseph’s Feast Day, highlighting the virtue of love—a defining characteristic of St. Joseph’s life.
The assembly began with a soulful prayer dance, symbolizing the selfless love and humility that St. Joseph exemplified. This was followed by a prayer session, where heartfelt prayers were offered for the families, teachers, and the entire school community. The prayers emphasized St. Joseph’s role as a protector, guide, and a model of unconditional love, inspiring everyone to embody the same virtue in their daily lives.❤️
Novena: Day 5 Virtue: Patience
Today is the Fifth Day of Novena to St. Joseph, Patron of the school. The prayer service began with garlanding the statue and candles were lit by bhaiya and aunty. Class 2 students presented a beautiful prayer song, an action song and offered prayers to the Patron seeking His blessings on everyone. The ceremony concluded with the Principal Sr. Ritika's encouraging the children to emulate the virtues of St. Joseph.💕💫
Novena: Day 3 Virtue: Kindness
Today was the Third Day of Novena to St. Joseph, Patron of the school. The prayer service began asking the Holy Spirit for the fruit of kindness on the third day of Novena to the Holy Spirit.
Sisters and Teachers garlanded the statue,offered flowers and lit the candles encouraging the children to emulate the virtue of Kindness in all aspects of life. All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting, and reviling must be removed from you, along with all malice. And be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.🫶☺️💫
Novena Day 2 Virtue: Family
Today the 2nd day of Novena started
Class 9 students showcased a beautiful dance on this occasion. This Novena focussed on prayerfully reflecting on the importance of family life and asking St. Joseph strengthens the bonds of love and unity within our own family our extended family.💫🧡👨👩👦
Novena: Day 1 Virtue: Faith
Today was the First Day of Novena to St. Joseph, Patron of the school.
The ceremony was well planned and executed by the students of Class IV. .The prayer service began with garlanding the statue of St. Joseph and lightning of the candles by the Sisters. The students exhibited beautiful prayer dance and action song that connected us with our Patron Saint seeking.
