A Rainy Saturday at Gurudakshina!

Today’s drizzling Saturday became even more special as the 2006–2010 batch visited Gurudakshina and experienced the facilities and memories created for the VNIT alumni community.

Adding to the joy, a group of five distinguished alumni from the 1973 batch, led by Aklank Killedar from Australia, also enjoyed the Gurudakshina Tour. They deeply appreciated the facilities and the vision behind creating this beautiful space for alumni and their families.

From the 1973 batch to 2006–2010, Gurudakshina continues to bring generations of VNITians together—under one roof, in the same spirit of nostalgia, bonding and belonging.

Welcome, VNIT Freshers 2026!
A jam-packed auditorium witnessed VNITAA’s interaction with the 2026 freshers during the Orientation Programme.
For VNITAA, it was more than an introduction—it was about welcoming our newest members as part of the VNIT family, like elder brothers, sisters and parents.
Chairman Shri Vivek Deshpande introduced the VNITAA team and showcased major projects completed on campus.
Executive Director Shri Joginder Singh Sond highlighted the power of Networking & Mentorship, sharing inspiring journeys of young VNITians now serving the nation in Administration, Defence, Corporate and Police Services—many of whom once sat in the same auditorium.
Founder Chairman Shri Shashikant Chaudhary inspired students to explore Entrepreneurship, highlighting the emerging ecosystem of VNIT Ventures Vault Foundation (V3F), offering mentorship and incubation support for innovative ideas.

Saturday’s Gurudakshina Visit Drive was truly enriching, with enthusiastic participation from alumni of the 1996–2005 batches.

The visit turned into a wonderful interaction, with lively discussions around the magnificent Gurudakshina Complex and its immense potential to become a vibrant, happening destination for alumni and their families.

Several valuable suggestions emerged on how we can activate the space with regular alumni gatherings, family-oriented activities, networking, learning, celebrations and community events, making Gurudakshina a place where alumni would love to return time and again.

The energy, ideas and affection shown by the young alumni reaffirmed one thing—Gurudakshina is not just a building; it has the potential to become the living heart of the VNIT Alumni community.

Together, let’s make Gurudakshina a place where memories are created, relationships are strengthened and the VNIT family stays connected for generations.
