"Ummeed - Education for Everyone" : Updates
Dear readers,

As you might be be aware, as a voluntary corporate social responsibility initiative, we recently launched project "Ummeed - Education for Everyone", wherein, we will be sponsoring Bank PO/ SSC coaching for of 10,000 students from financially weaker section at Career Power (sister concern of bankersadda.com).

We have received phenomenal response to the initiative and it has been very much lauded & appreciated by media also.

Well, we have received more than 28,000 applications for free coaching under this initiative and we are still in the process of evaluating these application, but, to our surprise, many of these applications are from the candidates, who are well to do and can afford the coaching on their own also. More than 70% of the applications belong to such candidates, who have somehow arranged the income certificates (the family income of the applicant for Ummeed should be less than 2 Lacs).

We would like to request to all of you that please apply to this program only if you really need it. Also, we would like to appeal to all our BA readers to spread the word about it to anyone you know who belong to poor family and who can not afford the education. If you can think of anyone in your village or town, who is poor and bright, and who can benefit from the program.

For participating in Ummeed, the family income of the candidate should be less than 2 Lacs and also candidate should have more than 50% marks in graduation.
