Mechanical Engineering Department, at PSNACET, was established along with the institute in 1984 with the intake of 60 students.

The intake was increased to 120, 240 and 300 in the years 2006, 2014 and 2015 respectively.

NDT Hands-on Training – Summer Workshop

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, PSNACET, conducted an NDT Hands-on Training Programme for 62 III Year students during the summer vacation, in association with Shri Sai Institute of NDT, Puducherry, with 5 experienced trainers.

The programme offered practical exposure to NDT techniques and industrial applications and concluded with certificate distribution.

International Delegates Visit the Department of Mechanical Engineering – PSNA CET

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Yosuke Mori, CEO & President, H2 Innovation Co., Ltd., Japan, and Mr. K. Karunanidhi, Managing Director, K-KCCS India Private Limited, during their visit to the Drone Technology Laboratory.

The delegates explored our UAV systems, drone prototypes, firefighting drone, and hands-on laboratory facilities, followed by an engaging interaction on drone technology, innovation, research, and industry collaboration.

The visit provided a valuable platform to showcase the technical capabilities and innovative initiatives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, while strengthening opportunities for international collaboration, industry engagement, and future R&D activities.

Strengthening Industry–Academia Collaboration through Faculty Exposure!

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, PSNA College of Engineering & Technology, successfully organized a Faculty Industrial Visit to CIPET – Madurai for 25 participants, including faculty members from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry, along with Ph.D. Research Scholars.

The visit provided valuable insights into:

Advanced polymer processing and testing facilities

Modern manufacturing practices

Product testing and quality assurance techniques

Industry expectations and emerging technologies

The interactive technical sessions and laboratory visits offered an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap between academia and industry, enabling our faculty and research scholars to enhance their knowledge and strengthen teaching, research, and consultancy activities.

We sincerely thank the CIPET – Madurai team for their warm hospitality, technical guidance, and for sharing their expertise with our faculty members.
