'രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെ അഭിമാനം ലോക രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് മുന്നിൽ ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിക്കാൻ' എന്ന് തുടങ്ങി എന്തൊക്കെ വീരവാദങ്ങൾ മുഴക്കിയാലും സത്യം പറഞ്ഞാൽ, പുച്ഛം- അത് മാത്രം!

ഇനിയിപ്പോ നാണക്കേട് മാറ്റാൻ മറ്റൊരു യന്ത്രത്തെ ചന്ദ്രനിലിറക്കാൻ ശതകോടികൾ ചിലവഴിക്കാം, അതും പാവപ്പെട്ടവന്റെ പിച്ചച്ചട്ടിയിൽ കൈയിട്ടു വാരി! ഇവിടെ ജീവിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീകൾ പിച്ചിച്ചീന്തി ചുട്ടുകരിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ സ്ത്രീ ശാക്തീകരണത്തിന് മാതൃകയാകാൻ കോടികൾ മുടക്കി ഒരു ബഹിരാകാശ യാത്രികയെ കൊണ്ടുപോകാം നമുക്ക്! രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ അഭിമാനമല്ലേ, പെണ്ണിന്റെ മാനത്തേക്കാളും വിലമതിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്!

അമ്മയുടെ സാമീപ്യമില്ലെന്ന് അറിയുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ പരിഭ്രമിച്ചു പോകുന്ന ഒരു കുഞ്ഞു ജീവൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ ആഴത്തിലെ ഇരുട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് അമ്മേ അമ്മേയെന്ന് വിളിച്ചു കരയുന്ന ദൃശ്യം ഇന്നും ഉറക്കം കെടുത്തുന്നു! മദ്യത്തിൽ മദോന്മത്തരായി ഊഴമിട്ട് ഊഴമിട്ട് ഓരോരുത്തരായി തന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ കയറിയിറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ നിസ്സഹായയായി നിലവിളിച്ച ആ പാവം സ്ത്രീയുടെ ആർത്ത നാദം ഉണർവിൽ പോലും ദുഃസ്വപ്നമായെത്തുന്നു!

ഭൂമിയിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ജനിക്കാനിരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ജീവനും സുരക്ഷയ്ക്കും ഉപകരിക്കാത്ത സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യ ആർക്ക് എന്തിന് വേണ്ടിയെന്ന ചോദ്യം മാത്രമാണ് അവശേഷിക്കുന്നത്!
