स्पिक मैके’ के बारे में:

स्पिक मैके (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth- S**C MACAY) एक गैर-राजनीतिक, राष्ट्रव्यापी, स्वैच्छिक आंदोलन है जिसकी स्थापना IIT-दिल्ली में प्रोफेसर रह चुके डॉ. किरण सेठ ने वर्ष 1977 में की थी। उल्लेखनीय है कि कला के क्षेत्र में योगदान के लिये डॉ. किरण सेठ को वर्ष 2009 में 'पद्म श्री' से सम्मानित किया गया था।
स्पिक मैके, सोसायटी पंजीकरण अधिनियम (Societies Registration Act) 1860 के तहत पंजीकृत है और आयकर अधिनियम 1961 की धारा 80 (जी) के तहत इसे कर से छूट प्राप्त है।
वर्ष 2011 में, ‘स्पिक मैके’ को युवा विकास में योगदान के लिये ‘राजीव गांधी सद्भावना पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित किया जा चुका है।
‘राजीव गांधी सद्भावना पुरस्कार’ शांति, सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव के संवर्द्धन और हिंसा के खिलाफ लड़ाई में योगदान के लिये पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी की जयंती के अवसर पर दिया जाता है।
इसके माध्यम से देश के कुशल कलाकारों द्वारा भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत और लोकनृत्य, कविता, रंगमंच, पारंपरिक चित्रों, शिल्प एवं योग से जुड़े कार्यक्रमों को मुख्य रूप से स्कूलों और कॉलेजों में प्रस्तुत किया जाता हैं।
S**C MACAY को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर संस्कृति मंत्रालय (Ministry of Culture), युवा मामले और खेल मंत्रालय (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports) तथा मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय (Ministry of Human Resource Development) द्वारा समर्थन प्राप्त है।
इसका मुख्यालय दिल्ली में है।
स्पिक मैके के स्तम्भ

कलाकार (Artistes), संस्थान (Institutions), समर्थक (Supporters) और स्वयंसेवक (Volunteers) स्पिक मैके के चार स्तम्भ (Pillars) हैं।
उद्देश्य:

S**C MACAY का उद्देश्य भारतीय विरासत के विभिन्न पहलुओं के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाकर और इसमें निहित मूल्यों को आत्मसात करने के लिये युवाओं को प्रेरित कर औपचारिक शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता को समृद्ध करना है।

The birth of Lord Krishna, a deity appearing time and again in the Indian mythology as an embodiment of justice, righteousness and vanquisher of evil, was celebrated through lively cultural performances of song and dance.
