As part of extending and strengthening the engagement of the academy with the city, the KRVIA Design Cell Academy proposes short term courses during the summer.

The KRVIA Design Cell Academy is pleased to announce a course on 'Writing Architecture' by Nisha Nair and Anuj Daga to be held in the summer of 2016. The course will be held between May 23, 2016 to June 6, 2016; 11.30 am - 03.30 pm and is open to students of B.Arch & M.Arch programmes. Maximum Participants: 18 ; Fees: Rs. 10,000/-
Nisha Nair-Gupta oscillates between her architectural practice, Design Variable and publishing initiative, The 'People Place Project' ; having published People Called Mumbai- mapping cities with narratives (2015). After her B.Arch from KRVIA, Nisha pursued her post graduation in Humanities and Arts Journalism from CEPT University, Ahmedabad.
Anuj Daga has a practice informed by his diverse engagements in fields of design, research and academia. Trained as an architect from Mumbai he went on pursue his interests in History & Theory of Architecture as well as design research through the interdisciplinary Master of Environmental Design program at Yale School of Architecture.

KRVIA partners in the Urban Lab+ programme Neil Kluge from WITS, Johannesburg; Ben Campkin and Andrew Harris from University College, London present their work at the KRVIA last Thursday.
Along with these schools the KRVIA part of an international network of institutions exploring cross cultural approaches towards urbanisation.
