This piano isn’t actually a piano
While producing a song for an artist, I started with a stock Logic piano.
It sounded great.
But once the track started growing...
It needed more emotion.
More weight.
More width.
So I layered it with:
 Synth Keys
 Synth Strings
 Analog Pad
All stock Logic sounds.
This is a technique you’ll hear in modern worship music, synth-pop, and cinematic pop productions all the time.
The goal isn’t to make things louder.
It’s to make them feel bigger.

How to create gated reverb drums in Logic Pro
One of the most iconic drum sounds in music history came from a surprisingly simple idea:
Big reverb.
Short tail.
The trick is to place a Noise Gate AFTER your reverb and use it to cut the tail off before it naturally fades away.
For this example I used:
Space Designer
 Noise Gate
That’s it.
The result is a snare that feels huge and explosive without filling up the entire mix.
This technique helped define countless records throughout the 80s and is still used in modern pop, rock, indie, and synthwave productions.
