The Bigwigs Speak 3.0

Mr Ambi Parameswaran, our esteemed speaker of ‘The BigWigs 3.0’, launched his new book SPONGE- Leadership Skills I learnt From My Clients at SIMSR. Director Monica Khanna , Professor Issac Jacob, and other respected professors with all PGDM IMC students were a part of the book launch.

Mr Parameswaran further shared seven out of twenty eight lessons of his book and how and what he learnt those lessons from his clients. According to him each and every letter of the word SPONGE has its own significance

S: Super Active Listening
P: Probe and Question
O: Observe and Note
N: New Behaviour to emulate
G: Getting to a Goal
E: Expand, Enlarge and Share

Like the characteristics of sponge, one should imbibe all the good things, remove all bad things from their minds and become a better person. He spoke about how it is important to manage one’s career and at the same time manage their learnings. If we want to become a leader the need is to become a learner first and leadership will follow.

SIMSR is utterly pleased and thankful to Ambi Parameswaran for allowing us to be a part of his book launch event. It was a huge success and a great learning experience for all of us!

The theme for this second talk session in the series is "The Art of Millennial Marketing" and all the nitty-gritties that go into targeting the millennials.
