This feature totally changed the dynamics of the staircase space in this residence ✨ Yes! I am talking about this faux skylight 🔥 When we started designing this space, we knew we had to add in elements that would multiply the space visually! And the skylight and the huge accent mirror have been an absolute game changer ❤️ This is a backlit stretch ceiling with dimmable and tunable LED lights which mimics the daylight integrated with #daliautomation system. Here’s how we achieved this wall paneling look with a hidden washroom door for the ‘entertainment room’ in our 📍Lower Parel interior project: ✨ added 18 mm plain ply paneling on wall ✨ added a 12 mm ply on top as per design ✨ left a 6mm groove at the junctions ✨ finished the ply edges with 6 mm mdf ✨ finished with a textured laminate with stone like figures ✨ painted the edges black ✨added RGB LED profile lights in certain verticals 👉Why we added the mdf? To get a crisp finishing at the edges in paint! 👉Why to add a concealed door closer? A concealed door closer isn’t visible from outside, also you don’t need to add extra handle from outside. Instead of going for a full size mirror for this space, tried this zig zag kind of pattern & it turned out super amazing. It adds the fun element while serving the purpose 🤩 . Base finish is laminate on ply and for mirror pieces, weve created a base with 18 mm ply with extra clear mirror stuck with silicone. . 1. While adding mirrors, make sure that the mirrors are laminated. 2. For abstract shapes of mirror, always provide a 4mm ply furma ( dummy) to the glass vendor 3. Avoid any sharp corners in design by introducing curves 4. For a classy premium look go for beveling around the edges. . Location 📍#lowerparel .
